I can compare JPNG and CreativeGolf 3D (CG3D).
1. The JPNG is not, in my view, suitable for short game training. Their chip and put pitch is not suitable for shot drilling.
The CG3D has more driving options, as well as a separate long drive, chip and put area. You can also choose training on course, select a single hole to practice, repeat shots from different positions. It is possible to have multiple games for up to 8 players.
2. Graphics with JPNG and CG3D are very similar, there is no significant difference. CG3D works with Skytrak more reliably. There is no repeated disconnection from Skytrak (common problem with JPNG). CG3D provides European courses and does not offer the opportunity to create my course. CG3G additionally offers minigolf, demolition golf, kids golf and other fun competitions.
3. Technical support is at a similar level.

And my reason for changing the JPNG for CG3D was
a) pricing policy (possibility to pay a one-time fee)
b) Reliability in connection with Skytrak

If you do not mind playing European playgrounds, you do not want to play online tournaments, so I recommend CG3D.
In addition, when you pay a one-time fee for long-term use, you will save dollars.

I would put TGC and JNPG's graphics on par with each other - they each do certain aspects better than the other. Definitely a preference thing - I personally dislike TGC's look, but JNPG doesn't have me going "Wow" either. JNPG clearly wins out on realism of courses as most come from accurate scans of real course and are planted from photographs - I've heard a few players say when they played a course IRL they're familiar with from JNPG how they already knew where the swales to avoid were, the breaks of the green, the parts of the fairway to get a nice boost from,...

Although TGC and JNPG are last gen. graphics because of the low powered graphics engine they use, CG3D does show its age. That Mirek can say JNPG is on par with CG3D has me wondering if he is indeed Miroslav from CG3D - je to pravda?

SkyTrak the company I found support pretty bad but Seth from SkyTrak on this forum makes up for them. Support for JNPG w/ Skytrak is however excellent in JNPG's Simulator Discord channel. SkyTrak can be a mongrel to get working reliably and lots of people have gone through the pains and are only too glad to help, even remoting into your computer if you wish to trust them. JNPG has the most online sim tournament rounds completed weekly of any game and although people soon get addicted and justify the upgrade to a GC2 still nearly half are SkyTraks. That simply wouldn't happen if connection problems were common. All our queries come from new users. I haven't had a misread or connection issue since the first few weeks with SkyTrak and JNPG.

Agree that JNPG is not good for training chipping, although it's good for training putting and surprisingly realistic feeling. I don't look at the distance of a putt or its elevation but feel the putt there remarkably well when my putting's in form.

Chipping is totally fine for playing tournaments though - just the occasional chip doesn't do what you expect. But then again, that happens in real life too. I just find I've adapted my chipping to suit JNPG rather than replicating what I do in IRL, which IMO shouldn't happen. I found that even more so in TGC but only used controller there.

I really think you should take advantage of Steam's 2 hour return policy and try JNPG and TGC via mouse/controller as you won't be able to test sim. If cost is a big issue, then CG3D as well. I haven't used E6 in a long time to give you meaningful feedback.

Yes, in my opinion there is no significant difference in graphics between JPNG and CG3D (even I think they use the same engine).
Definitely not one that would justify paying an annual fee of $ 250.
I added prinscreens from both sw (default graphics setting)

I think the software in general all 3 has their pluses and minus and the folks above have it covered. I will write more regarding support. The best I believe is TGC. I had great issues in the beginning and they took the time to remote in and play a few holes to help with my issues and the issue was with my ISP not them. You can email them here or on their web site and get a response very quick from a person that knows what they are talking about. E6 also has good support but they are also the most expensive.

JNPG - really no way to contact them. They have support on discord but that is not JNPG just a bunch of dudes helping each other. That is great, but if you really have a technical issue you are going to have a hassle.

All 3 companies I expect will have new versions next year.......should be interesting.

This forum itself is amazing. I hope I can one day be as knowledgeable to help clueless folks out like myself someday. The learning curve is steeper than I thought. I neglected to consider that Skytrak itself has a long drive and closest to the pin in their game improvement package; that may solve some problems right off the bat.

Im running JNPG with Skytrak and absolutely enjoy the heck out of it! The game has Closest to the Pin, Long Drive Contests, various Combines including short game, and Practice mode where you can hit the same shot from anywhere over and over again. Also really love the fact I can play with my wife and kids all from different tee boxes. That was a big deciding factor as to why I went with jnpg. As far as tech support goes I honestly haven't had any real problems to where a simple question on discord couldn't resolve my issue. They also have their own forum for help if you Google jnpg tour you can find more info there.

I get very little sound from e6 or perfect golf. I like the sound effects in TGC and John. Also, TGC is the only I have seen live ducks and deer in.

JNPG it's more sound effects on a course basis. Nonesuch River in Maine for example has a road going past a few holes and you'll see and hear cars going past. Really cool actually. Fortunately they don't honk mid swing. But JNPG doesn't have a John which many miss but many appreciate too. I like TGC theme music a better (nice arrangement, really golfish). TGC2 sadly wrecked the theme in an attempt to give something fresh but recognisable.

TGC gives you a color commentator which is pretty cool. JNPG gives you lots of course specific sounds like wind, planes, birds, etc... e6 I have no clue, only played the demo and I don't think it had any sounds.
Regardless of software, mostly i just hear myself swearing and throwing clubs into the floor and walls.
