  • Creative golf 3D for skytrak demo

I have loaded creative golf 3D every thing went great worked the first time. Did’t have to call skygolf, software found skytrak unity first try. I think the graphics is very good, trees look real leaves even move. Like the putting it works much better than last demo I tried, but not easy to putt all sims putting is hard to get use to. Question for forum members that has tried golf 3D if anyone is using it how do you like it. Like to know how it may compare with JNPL golf. Won’t to get a sims game just can’t decide which one to get would like to try JNPL game put no demo I know of. Thanks for any information to help.

I use CG3D since autumn. Before that, I had JNPG. Graphics seems to me similar to JNPG.

Why did I switch from JNPG to CG3D?
    1. I do not like the JNPG pricing policy (the necessity of annual fees, I bought CG3D with a one time fee)
    2. CG3D provides much more training options - more driving, chipping and putting areas; training on a particular hole; fun golf (especially good for children)
    3. Playing on the course (the "free walking" function - I can check the space around me for myself and for myself, for example, if I do not mind the branches; the ability to switch to training mode anywhere on the course and practice a stroke as you needed (without affecting the result of the round).)

AND MOST IMPORTANT REASONS - problems with connection and application stability u JNPG.
The connection to Skytrak is absolutely reliable and absolutely trouble free. JNPG had normally been disconnected several times for the game, or even the application had dropped.

So if you do not need to play online tournaments or do not want to play new course “evers day”, CG3D is a good choice for training and simulation.

Thanks Mierk-62. CG3D worked great downloaded it, skytrak connected right up never lost connection. I have only used it 2 times worked flawlessly both times. I don’t plan to play on line tournaments, I’am a little to old to keep up with those younger players. The only reason for JNPL golf was I live in USA have seen a lot of the courses here. Would like to play some of them, have been to JN memorial tournament at murifield village. Would like to play that course.

I downloaded the demo but have not installed it yet. JNPG once it connect for me upon starting the game I am golden. About 1/3 of the time when I start it a connection to perfect golf cannot be made from the rhaposdo interface. Connecting the skytrak via USB has helped this a little.

I plan on trying the demo. Once feature I like about JNPG is you can record a round and compete against yourself later. Can creative golf do this?

Yes, you can record a round and continue to play it later. You can record more than one round.

I downloaded the demo, i wish you were able to play a little more with it, only 3 shots on the other modes and only one hole. It's better than not having a demo for sure, but i would rather have a 1 week demo with full functionality vs 30 days with very limited. What i don't like is their pricing, it gets quite expensive adding the courses to it.

Yeah I agree, I couldn't really get the feel of the sim with the play limitations.

        HI

I used the GC2 DEMO on my pc first before i bought CG3D.

Much better DEMO, lets you play using the PC mouse, and get to see much more of the CG3D package.

Skytrak DEMO a waste of time. Google CG3D demo for GC2, that's the demo that convinced me to buy the product for Skytrak.

        regards
        Happy

Were you able to use the gc2 demo with ST or just use it the with computer/mouse to get an idea of what it could do?

Gc2 demo is good because you get to play like 8 courses. 3 holes each course and multiple players. I spent 2 hours playing just the demo the other day hitting 3 times on every hole as a different player. If the whole package was like $500 I'd say it would be worth it to play about 100 different courses and mini games.

I will try downloading gc2 demo to pc and give a try. Thanks to all for your great information.

I tried the demo. If my niece and nephew were in town, it might be entertaining for an hour or two to play some of those window breaking games but that is about the extent of any value I can see in the app. Frankly, it looks like someone spent a couple weeks in course forge putting together the targeting range and short game challenges and then thought they could throw a $300 price tag on it. I wouldn't spend $10 on it. If your going to go the arcade style route, go all the way and make it engaging and entertaining. At very least give it a bit more depth. I lost interest after about 15 minutes and erased the demo. Not worth the space it was taking up on my HD.

            Hi

I bought CG3D, and don't agree with you at all.

There are games for the kids on there, but there are also putting courses, which putt pretty well and accurately in my view. I live in Ireland so i use this alot.
Putting on most simulators not great with skytrak i believe.

The practice areas chip very well and realistically as well. Practice chipping and pitching to greens is much better on CG3D than the Skytrak practice greens. I can practice putting too, which i do enjoy!

Course play is fine, you can play multiple players, choose tees, etc.

            Fitness golf also seems fine.

CG3D and Fitness Golf are great value in my opinion.

If you want the best graphics etc.... go spend the big bucks on E6, TGC 2 etc........

            I agree with HappyGilmore102.

The game for the kids you mention is just some extras. And if you've only been doing this part, it's your fault. The main part is the possibility of training and playing on the field. The CG3D is very playable and the game is close to reality. Someone may have a bit older graphics, but it is certainly sufficient for home use. I especially appreciate on CG3D the possibility of training various game situations and especially the stability of the connection with Skytrak (unlike eg JNPG). In my opinion, buying of CG3D is definitely not a waste of money.

Strange people’s take on it , I thought it was really good, liked the fact you could have 8 players and Name them all, not being connected to internet to play the courses. I’m trying to sell my TGC license to pay for it. Even at 500 dollars I can’t get any interest. Ps thought the driving range was great

That's crazy. Someone should jump on that. It's still $750 brand new.

Ok clearly Mirek_62 has some sort of gripe with JNPG.
let me set a few things straight about his original reply post.

First off, every One has their own preference as to which software fits their needs but...

          1. Buying CG3d gets you like 15 courses and a few mini games and ranges. Buy all the courses and you're looking at like $1500. That's more than TGC and 6 years worth of JNPG. Not worth it with those 2 choices available to you. The gameplay and graphics are superior on both those options. And you can get you foot in the door with E6 for just around that price also which I'm sure is a MUCH better option for serious players looking to get better.

          2. JNPG clearly has a practice mode where you can literally place the ball anywhere on the course and hit into the green or just hit drives off the Tee box or approach shots on par 5`s if that's what you wanna do. If you join the tournament league on that software, it opens up combines galore including putting, wedges, 1 shot from different distances etc..

          3. Jnpg you just hit F5 and you can free roam to your hearts desire around the course.
I can't speak to the connection issues as I'm on GC2. I know there's tons of skytrak users playing though every week on tour. When I had my skytrak I didn't have many drops at all. Maybe an occasional time where I had to rearm the skytrak to get it connected. Nothing major and that was a year ago. It may be less of an issue at this point.

clearly this guy who says he owned JNPG, didn't waste 2 minutes exploring the options to find what he says it's lacking.

I'm not trying to defend one game or another but there shouldn't be misinformation spewed around about any game out there and I've seen this guy mention JNPG every post comparing to CG3D.

I own TGC and JNPG and I play the demos of CG3D and E6 1.6 quite often on my GC2 and I like it but it's not as good as any of the other options available to skytrak users except maybe fitness golf which I've never tried.

I agree that everyone has different preferences. CG3D suits me and I am happy with it. I do not need to be able to play "millions" of courses or online games or tournaments. I prefer the reliability of the application and the possibility of different types of training that is close to reality. I also prefer a one-time fee, I hate business models with the necessity to pay an additional fee every year (or month).

I have the jnpg pc version and visually to my eye, (personal opinion) looks the best, never played it on skytrak, but having played cg3d on demo was impressed with robustness of it and I like the side games and the fact it's one off.

I agree, it's a fun game for sure. I've spent hours playing the demo myself. The issue is the price IMO. While it's great to have the option of a one time buy, you don't get your money's worth. 5 courses and mini games and ranges.

If it was 50 courses for 500 then sure. Better option I think would be $199 A year with everything unlocked. I bet they'd do quite well doing that. People like having options and trying new software out. At $500 it's quite a leap for the amount you're getting.

The pricing for this software on Skytrak is just way too far off if you want to add courses. If it was more reasonably priced, i think they could sell a lot more. And by more reasonably priced, you need to be less than TGC for everything.

I agree. If they included all the courses in the one time fee I might be tempted myself.

              HI

as far as price goes, yes, you are all right with regards to the purchase of all the courses.

But for me, the base one time fee gave me more than enough to keep me busy for a long time and CG3D is not demanding on my old laptop at all.

In time, if i want a load of additional courses, i'll probably just buy Fitness Golf (think you get 160 courses or something).

who knows, with the current pace of development CG3D might be forced to offer an all course add on for 100 bucks or something. (Read the guy above is struggling to sell his TGC licence for 500).

Fitness Golf wasn't avaibable when CG3D was first released.

              regards

The good thing is with ST, there are a lot of options and based on personal preference, you should be able to find something that fits your needs.

CG3D demo was my first and only experience with sim golf. It ran well on my olderish lap top. It looked better than I expected. I thought putting would be a nightmare experience, but it worked fairly well. My kids had fun trying it out.

I have nothing to compare it to. If the price included a lot more courses, especially ones I am familiar with, I'd probably buy it, online play or not.
