Official v3.1 SkyTrak App Release

We have released v3.1. We will continue to work on club data and as promised, I will include you all in public beta as we fine-tune. Right now, SkyPro is only bringing in Club Speed and we re-calculate PTI based on that. In the not-to-distant future we will be bringing in additional parameters, most likely when we include R-Motion. Thanks for your patience with this one and enjoy.

I had rmotion working with ST. Then a few months ago my pc crashed. Couldn’t get it working togeather again. Any ideas or will it work with the new updat?

Finally got around to installing this update....getting a ton of misreads now...previously Id get maybe 1 out of 100...Just now Ive gotten 5 out of my first ten...thats between misreads and random skytrak disconnects.

We didn't change anything with shot capture or image analysis...has this continued to be a problem for you?

Mine is way worse also. I rarely had misreads before, maybe one of 40 or so. Now I'm lucky if I get 3 out of 10 to capture with driver. I know the update shouldn't have changed shot capture but something is wrong. Mine gets even worse as I move into irons and wedges. I finally gave up on it last night.

Initial testing today after I had to go buy a USB Bluetooth adaptor for my PC. Got everything connected fine and the Skypro is coming up as being connected with BLE in the Skytrak software.

Unlike others who mentioned that spin rates and ball speeds didn't match up on the home screen and optimiser screen. Mine matches up. But the club swing speed doesn't match up between the PC and the Skypro app on my iPhone. there is a discrepancy of between 8 and 10mph with the PC reading lower than the App installed on my iPhone.

SkyTrak_Seth Was the club data from Sky Trak (not Sky Pro) removed in the GA version of 3.1? I see that I can only user shot optimizer but it does not show the graphical view of my swing path and my decent angle.

hey SkyTrak_Seth I was on yesterday and doing some practice, did the skills assessment. It seems to still be bugged out on when a hit vs a miss is on the green. Just passing that info along. Its still close to the edge but still not accurate. Seems like shots that are within a yard of the edge of the green often come back showing miss. but yet on the screen its definitely a hit.

Good catch! Yeah, actually the skills assessment still has the hit/miss bug in v3.1. Trying to decide if it's worth pushing a hotfix for that before v3.2. Let me see how far out we are.

no problem at all...i'd greatly appreciate it if anything...shameless plug i have a youtube series where i track my handicap through the skills assessment, idk how much a miss varies the handicap calculation when its actually on the green but for aesthetic purposes it would be great to see a hit when its actually on the green. dont have any testing logs but if you wanna see video proof check it out here...(also a shameless youtube plug lol) - https://youtu.be/PoRC26szr_4?t=19m goes straight to the shot that shoes a miss and is clearly on the green. i'll await the fix ;-) hopefully it comes pretty quick.

Bug in optimizer screen

I was checking out version 3.1 today for the first time and I noticed that in the optimizer screen most of the data is not updated after Skytrak has registered a shot. Launch angle, back spin, descent angle and the 4 values in the left lower corner are not updated after hitting a registered shot (shots are displayed in shot history screen). Only If you leave the screen and return to the screen all values are updated. Quite annoying because LA, BS and DA are the most important values in this screen.

That's strange, I'm on the exact same device and it updates on every shot. I tried staying in the shot optimizer, and also hitting on the practice range and then going to optimizer - all parameters update every time. Maybe try deleting the app and reinstalling? Please let me know if the problem persists!!

Bummer. Updated to 3.1 and the fairway and shot optimizer features aren't available to me. "premium' package is required. Not an available pick from the site now or when I was selecting packages after buying the system.. I have game improvement and thought that allowed all skill and challenge features which were my primary interest. Apparently not.

Ok, that's definitely a problem. Shot Optimizer is certainly a part of the Game Improvement Package (aka premium package). Did you ever get in??? I don't see how some could be affected and others not.

Nope, it shouldn't matter. What device are you using to run SkyTrak? Did it have Bluetooth turned on?

When you say "home screen", do you mean the SkyTrak Practice Range or the SkyPro app?

On the CHS discrepancy, did the number turn orange in the SkyTrak app? That's how you know it's coming from SkyPro.

Hi Seth, Not sure what has happened. but the connection is now working properly and club speed data is now being transferred all the time. The number is now turning orange, whereas before it wasn't - even though the BLE connection was saying it was connected and working with the orange dot.

I am really enjoying the skytrak 3.1. I do think the best option for skytrak to really make improvements is to make an add on(priced around $1,000) that can read all club data. Similar to GC2 HMT add on. A add on similar to HMT would really make a huge difference to skytrak. Having the ability to see club speed, club swing path, face angle, angle of attack, dynamic angle of attack and "most important" the impact location of the golf ball on the face of the club would really be a game changer for skytrak. I know I would be all in if skytrak developed an add on that measured the club data. Just food for thought. Would be interested if others would be interested as well? If there is enough interest and an add-on would be profitable for skytrak, then I am sure the idea would gain traction.

They built some of this in the 3.1 beta. I absolutely loved it, but it didn't make GA 3.1. Also I don't mind paying a little extra for the upgrade, but $1000 is steep for that. Maybe a couple hundred and a subscription? I am thinking about adding skypro, but I don't really want to add sensors to my clubs, then take them off and back on when I go to the course.

Version 3.1 included, I don’t think SkyTrak ever streamlines the work flow of direct connect mode. It is confused and confusing in “I need internet to verify user account but need disconnection from internet to connect to SkyTrak unit”. Some weird behaviors happen in between. Seth, not disrespect to your team but you need to hire some detail oriented iOS developers.

you only need an internet connection the first time when you update the app. I've been in direct mode for months without having an internet connection.

I just got a replacement SkyPro (old one 3 years old and battery was useless) - tested tonight and Skytrak recorded 41 out of 43 shots. Two missed reads. Balls were range balls and two had no markings. Skypro clubhead speed used on all shots.

Worked perfectly. just waiting for the additional club data that was in the beta. I am left handed also
