Have a 3 yr old HP i7 now. Works OK, but I’d heard a more powerful PC would help with delay. Getting 4K projector so hitting into scream would be more realistic with less or no delay.

I have an Asus k31cd i7 7700 3.6ghz with 4.2ghz boost 16gb ram gtx1050 overclocking low profile card and it works great have about $850 in it I play JNPG on ultra resolution and it doesn't flex the computer could at all . You definitely need a dedicated graphics card with at least 2gb of ram. Integrated graphics cards won't cut it my computer was only 5 months old with HD630 graphics and it was hard to play JNPG it was laggy and blotchy on low settings, it was simple to add the graphics card and disable the onboard card

The delay does not come from your PC it comes from SkyTrak trying to calculate your ball flight. This is the price we pay for a sub $2000 launch monitor that is 1/3 the price of the next competitor.
That being said, a good graphics card will give you the best performance when compared to processor and system memory.. you probably want to start with at least Nvidia GTX 1050 or above...
I'm differentiating between a delay (2-3 seconds after you hit the ball before the ball flight shows up) vs. jerky movement (due to an underpowered graphics card).Last edited by frodaddy00; 04-02-2018, 12:46 AM.

The skytrack does not calculate. It sends two pictures to pc/device which then processes them and applies ball flight model.Since it takes almost two seconds to send, an infinitely fast computer couldnt do much better than two seconds. A recent ipad will be only slightly behind a gaming pc.Last edited by Morini; 04-04-2018, 01:19 AM.

As others have mentioned, a faster PC isn't going to help much with the lag. That said, it will make a big difference with graphics. I custom built an iBuyPower machine: Intel i7-7700k, 16 GB RAM, GTX1060, and an SSD. Initially I hooked up the projector to the integrated graphics card and TGC was laggy and didn't look great. After hooking it up to the GTX1060 I can run on the highest resolution and settings and it is super smooth and looks great on my 1080p projector.
