Wasn't really implying you should be on youtube, but more thinking that if you had one, there must be others who do as well.

It took about 5 hrs to fully charge. It was easy to connect directly to my ipad 4. I couldn't get it to connect through my home network yet and didn't want to mess with it any longer. I am able to use it with my p3pro without it affecting either unit and will assume i can do the same with my optishot. I would say it is very accurate to what I see on the course. For the most part, i play a slight draw and it picked it up perfectly. It also replicated how i can hit the same club with significantly different lengths, which i see on the course as well. I would say yardages are pretty spot on to what i play to. I was able to get down to chips reading at 5yd carry but nothing less. I also hit low chips and flops and the launch angle picked them up pretty accurately from what I can tell (almost hitting ceiling to shots being about a foot off the ground). For my current setup, I can only hit up to a hybrid until I get my garage slightly remodeled. It never missed a shot and I hit easily over a 100. I thought for sure it was going to miss this low heal slinging hook and it picked it up just fine. When you look at the session average, for a draw spin, it shows as a positive number even though almost all my swings were negative in the chart above. Also, when you edit your clubs, they do not carry over to the range session. Not sure what's going on there. Maybe i didn't name them properly or something. I only did the closest to the pin once, but it was very cool. I can see myself really using this to improve my wedge distance from 40-90yds.
In comparison to the p3pro. They both seem to be pretty close in the horizontal reading. The stock settings in the p3pro appear to be juiced up so I will need to play with these alot more to get the outcome closer. The shot shape was very similar, although the p3pro didn't show the ball coming back to the left as much as the skytrak. The spin numbers on the p3pro aren't even close. Obviously this is a calculation, but you would have to either be crazy or have money to burn to pay for that option. I have always felt even with taped clubs that the p3 seemed to be a little bit bias to the right. The two systems might not be perfectly aligned with each other as well, but it did seem to match my perception. This also showed the limitation with the p3 in regards to distance loss on miss hits, either fat/thin or heal/toe. Even with the sweet shot penalty enabled, it still flew farther than the skytrak.
In the end I am very excited to have this. I didn't need simulation since I can mess around with the two systems I already have. It had to be portable since i can only use this in my garage and I have to park cars there and put all the kids crap in there. I couldn't justify the cost of the gc2 or the protee at this time, so for me, this just about lined up to what i needed, accurate ball data. I still think the 1500 is pricey (especially when you take it out of the box), but there isn't anything else that fit what I needed/wanted in that price range.
Yes there is a delay of 4-5 seconds or so on the ipad 4. I don't have a screen to project onto, so it doesn't bother me, but for others it may.
Also, I couldn't tell a difference between the readings with leaving the plastic film on or taking it off. Hey, i was in a hurry to get this thing going and forgot about having to remove it.
FWIW, I play to a 6 hdcp, carry 7 iron about 148 and have a driver ss of 93.Comment

Forgot to mention a couple things. In the supplied literature, it did say annual subscriptions were available. I was told you did not have to pay year over year for game improvement package. We'll see I guess. I did not purchase that upfront, it looks like you must get some trial period for this.
Also, they are mentioning that you can purchase an extended warranty which is now available on their website. Pretty crappy to have to pay another 100 to get 12 months. Unfortunately, with my history with skycaddie sgx, I will have to seriously consider this.Comment

Apparently ordering early doesn't mean you get a unit anytime soon. I still don't have a tracking number and I ordered basically day 1 , Oct 18.

For those with the unit, have you tried hitting fake golf balls (e.g., AlmostGolf balls)? How is the reading? It was my understanding that it would not work but just wanted to check.Comment

As for limited flight balls, aside from going less in distance, they don't consistently get detected. I would recommend real balls only.Comment

Hello Everyone, 1st day on the forum, and I am completing a golf simulator for my 11 year old son who is a competitive golfer in Canada. We have the Net Return which is an "amazing product" and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. We had 3 nets over the past 3 years for outdoors and they all failed ( plastic rod connector snapped). We were going to use the GC2 because I know the numbers are very good from using it with lessons at Golf Tec, but was holding off because of price. SKYTRAK just came and saved the day/wallet. Something other than the skytrak. It does not have any simulation at this time.
I suggest you keep looking around for all your options, what you want out of a unit, what their limitations are and what your budget is. Optishot, P3proswing, protee, gc2, etc
