  • I"m trying to figure out how to level my unit. I don't know how good it needs to be to be operate within spec. My floor isn't leveled left to right as it has a small slope only noticeable with a bubble level but it's fine from front to back. I'm guessing and I have no way of confirming that when both lasers are on and shines parallel to the target line it's good enough. This means it's parallel to the target line AND leveled from left to right and not necessary front to back. Would be great to be able to get a definitive answer on what's necessary.

Yes, all in all it's a great unit and all of us just wants to make it up to par with what's available on the market. We want a GC2 without having to pay for it. We're indeed greedy but why not if we can help make this product better. In the end, the customer is always right, we know what we want.

    • Guys take a look at this

It's out in Japan first. Look at the PC software. Looks exactly like the Vector Pro software which is an excellent piece of software. Pretty excited to see this.

But take a look at this. It looks like the PC version costs more. I think it's because it comes with a PC.

I can't read Japanese, maybe someone can help. Hopefully the fine print doesn't say "For the Japanese market only!" =)
I've tried google translate and it says the Japanese software won't work on the USA versions and that the official multilanguage release is scheduled for December.

      • Can you explain the two lasers? I haven't used this feature. Would be nice to see how closely i thought i had it aligned to my p3pro.

        • From the Japanese site, a list of the consumable items that need replacing (sorry if this has been posted previously).

          Price will be tax price.
          1. Laser
          Life: about 6,000 hours
          Replacement cost: 15,000 yen
          2. flash
Life: usually use about 300 000 times
          Replacement cost: 15,000 yen
          3. Battery
Life: will vary due to usage.
Battery life will become increasingly less with each charging.
          Replacement cost: 15,000 yen

15,000 yen doesn't seem cheap for those.

          • So about $125 bucks for each of th laser, flash or better. What's the cost of a GC2 flash? I suppose you need to send the unit back to get these items replaced.

6000 hours for a laser replacement. Let's say you use it for 2 hours a day it would last you over 8 years. I'm pretty sure there would be a Skytrak 6 or something else by then😉

                • That pic of the pc software in that link reminds you of the Vector software for good reason......it IS pics of the vector Vseries software. Just ripped off images.

                  • I think the GC2 flashes cost $150 for replacement, easily changed out.

                    • Does the manual describe changing out any of these things? Does it even mention the consumables? I suspect the battery will be the first to go, then the flash and finally the laser. The first two at least will occur often enough they should be user replaceable.

                      • The manual says nothing about maintenance items. I've asked a few times but it seems no one knew.

                        wbond,
go into your session settings and toggle between left and right handed player.

                        • I built a leveling stand and use a digital angle gauge that I check lofts with on it. Get it to a tenth of a degree that way every time. Ball speeds seem lower than the trackman I hit on last summer. About 7-8 mph slower with each club. But if enter data into flight scopes trajectory optimizer all distances are very close to yardages I play. I'm a scratch player and spend a lot of time working on distance control so I'm very familiar with my swing and yardages.

                          • I asked (on the other site) if the USB port was active or only a charging port. No answer but I notice on the Japanese site the connections are either WIFI or USB. So a hardwire connection is possible (at least on the Japanese version).

I'm curious where you saw that? If at the bottom of the index page then it actually says the opposite. The USA version can be downloaded now but won't work in Japan. The Multilanguage version that will work in Japan is coming out now (in December). All this is only talking about the ipad mobile version.

Actually reading the site closer it seems a little odd. They are selling in Japan but it's not clear what software actually exists for the Japanese market. The mobile version is not yet available in Japan (due December). The only thing that appears to exist now is something called Xswing on a PC.

This is all from my wife translating for me.

                              • I just post a Youtube movie to show the pitch shot testing for Skytrak. Skytrak recorded 5-8 yards longer than actual carry distances. The temperature was low (41 degeers), so it could have affected the carry. Any insights? I know that 1.8 version will add the temperature in the settings and hope that it will provide better results.
