    Yes, it must be level.

    • Level in relation to the ground you are hitting off of or level in general? If you tried to go to a range it would be really hard to level on that ground but easier to be level in relation to the ground you are hitting off of.

      • Level to gravity.

        • How close to level does it have to be?

This is from their website. What is this doing then? I understand you probably can't have the leaning tower of pisa going on, but I can't imagine you have to have a level with you either.

          • This was brought up a while back. The built in accelerometer is not as sophisticated as the ones in the GC2. I confirmed this using the ProTee's launch angle camera to measure the SkyTrak's LA when the unit was tilted a degree or two. 1-2 degree difference in LA will make a difference in the SkyTrak's calculated carry.

            • Wow, 1-2 degree tilt and it's off, sounds like that accelerometer isn't doing much of anything. Looks like I need to get moving on making my adjustable base. Thanks for the heads up. I could have easily missed this in the 93 pages.

              • So what is the realistic timeframe for simulation. I know there have been talk of the first quarter. Do we have any better timeframe than that?

Looks like March with WGT and E6

Hi Wilson. you probably should not use the mobile phone to level the unit. Even a dirt cheap bubble level is much more accurate. The phone can be as much as +/- 5 degrees off. (it probably more like +/- 2 but the tolerance for a none calibrated and temperature compensated accelerometers is in the +/- 5 deg range)
The fact that Skytrak has no reference surface to level against and on top of that don't even tell you that it should be done is just sad. It's not like they don't know.

                  • Already on its way!

                    • Cool level. Where to get one?

                      • Amazon - 8 bucks. Fits a camera hotshoe so quite small. Multipurpose if I get a real cage/level for it I suppose.

                          • So being level has been determined to be critical. How about height to hitting service?

The manual says "Make sure Skytrak is raised level with the hitting surface". So, I guess it is critical, also.
