  • had it with skytrak

first skytrak started missing rh shots after 4 months, they sent me a new one a few months ago in lieu of repairing the old one, this one is now acting up after very little use and skytrak is telling me it's out of the warranty period. sell me 2 lemons in a row i think the warranty should matter very little and they should stand behind their product. save your $ for a gc2. that's what i'm planning to do anyway. hunk of junk and poor suppot

in which mode has it missed shots the most? USB, direct. network? or all of them... does the light flash, or not go out?

presumably another laser curtain issue. i waggle the club back and forth no response from the laser. funny thing is it’s doing the same thing in lefty mode although it does pick up a slightly higher percentage of shots. i only use it in network mode

That is some rotten luck. Skytraks response is terrible. Sorry for your troubles

In network mode the skytrak will get confused if it is sharing a network through a router that has internet and other devices connected to that network. You will experience missreads/no reads because of the noise on that network. The solution is a designated usb Wi-Fi adapter that only the skytrak will connect through. I have had maybe 1 or 2 missreads/no reads in over 6 months of daily use since this fix.

In my opinion skytrak needs no send an usb wifi adapter with every unit they sell. It would alleviate a lot of frustration.

Linksys AC1200 is the one I use. It's $41.37 on Amazon.

So does this act like a NIC (network card) Do you connect this to the Skytrak via the a usb cable?

i fear the network connection is unrelated... unless the network has a bias toward lefties. i believe skytrak quality control is to blame

If you are confident enough and it’s out of warranty why not trying to swap the laser curtains to see if that is the fault this thread might help you https://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum...-shots-kind-of

Hopefully SkyTrak will sort you out would like to think reputation is more important than immediate profits let us know how you get on please. I cant justify a GC2 but SkyTrak is right in my price range but a company that does not look after there clients puts me off investing in a SkyTrak. I’m in the middle of a garage transformation to a sim room and was looking to invest in a SkyTrak but I am having second thoughts it will depend on how they treat you reputation is far more important to me.
