The skytrak laser won’t make a single point on my fiberbuilt mat

It seems to get diffused by the fibers. Sometimes it’s a tight dot, but other times it’s pretty spread out. My swing is not consistent so I really can’t tell, but will the placement being off by 3/4 of an inch affect the shot shape/direction?

My Skytrak does the same thing on my Fiberbuilt mat. It doesn't seem to matter if the laser is diffused.

its the same on my mat but i don't believe it matters.

The dot serves no purpose other than to give you an approximate location to place the ball. If the ST gets two good pictures of the ball all is well.

Thanks Boys!! Sadly, now it must be my swing which can send balls 20 yards in either direction with no change in feeling

Agreed, I see the same thing on my FiberBuilt and I don't think it matters. Over than it throws my thought process a little.

I mount a red laser pointer on the bill of my cap... really helps keep my head still. ;P

Unfortunately, all my “mountable” lasers are already on sharks.
