I've had ST for a few weeks and so far I've found the tips and testimonials on these forums super helpful in making ST readings more accurate thru alignment, leveling, eliminating light backdrops/reflections, and especially with ball/tee placement relative to the red dot. It's promising to know that there are simple fixes to issues that mostly revolve around user error. So, I'd love to hear if anyone has experienced anything similar...
Something I'm noticing in ST and TruGolf sessions is that my fades are reaching significantly shorter distances than draws. Of course, I understand that there is some technical truth to this in real life, but what I'm seeing in simulation is a disparity of sometimes 10-15% in carry distance, most noticeable on longer shots but still apparent with full wedges and short irons.
My shot tendencies are high trajectory, high spin.. and throughout my bag I rarely get any roll out (my drives off the tee can typically be found within a few feet of impact point, in normal Virginia conditions carrying btwn 280-300) so I'm used to having carry distance be fairly close to total distance. It can be a little frustrating hitting shots in ST/TruGolf when no matter how well I tag a drive, if it fades it will rarely get beyond 250 or 260. Conversely, a draw off the tee with driver will often carry 280+.
I suspect it could be a slight exaggeration of fade vs draw, but I'm open to your guys' thoughts or speculation.
thanks
