I think my SkyTrak is aligned properly ;-), but on a more serious note, after breaking ankle and dislocating knee am trying to get golf fit, whilst also with the downtime been watching lots of YouTube videos.

Been trying to square up my swing, more from in to out (was a heavy over the top swinger) and just working on tempo .... hopefully it will continue like this. For Info, this was with my 7 iron (Ben Ross HTX)

Slightly more ball speed compared to LPGA, but also 50% higher VLA and half the spin. I suspect a mat that has relatively smooth texture. That does not take anything away from the zeroed out swing, well done.

I am actually using a Fibrebuilt mat. My clubs are Ben Ross HTX 7 iron, and that was using a very very budget ball ... a Slazenger V300. At my level of golf (26 handicap), I was losing to many before my injury, to warrant more expensive balls ..... so with that combination of equipment, kinda would expect low spin ....... but for me at the moment, don't think the spin is my main concern, whilst I am still trying to find the fairway

Just went out and tried with a Pro V1 ... could not quite get the same figures (it's a bit colder today), but got higher spin, and now shorter distance

That is about right amount of spin for hitting off of a Fibrebuilt. And the carry is about right for the ball speed. LPGA average for 7 iron is 104 ball speed, 19 degrees VLA, 6700 back spin, and 141 carry.

I also have a Fiberbuilt mat, my Costco Kirkland 3 piece balls are 2x that spin at least regardless of which club I hit them with. Whether a true blade, players MB or a cavity back. The lowest spin ball for me is a toss up between Titleist Pro-v1x or a Taylormade. which are in the low 4k spin.

How much were the Kirkland? I got 48 Slazenger balls for £11.99 ..... seeing as I am losing a few, bargain for me .. and to be honest, for my level .. when I am on the course, I am not really seeing that much difference (when playing) between budget, mid or hi end balls

Ok, bit more testing this morning .. when I was feeling loser ... also .. cleaned the head of club, using new white ball .. and facing logo towards skytrak. Can see slight difference between Slazenger and Pro-V1

Now you have plenty of spin. Would focus on increasing ball speed and lowering launch angle to gauge your ballstriking progress.

By switching to a Green, will that itself show better stopping on skytrak?

Am hoping my ball speed will increase once I am more comfortable putting more pressure on my left side (am still a little nervous). Just video'd my swing, and noticed that I am not lifting my right foot through the swing and to finish, rather flat footed at the min

Yes, balls stop within a normal distance when hitting to a SkyTrak green.

Good luck getting your swing back post-injury - I've never had to deal with that, I'm sure it sucks.

Fairly happy with this, not the longest (yet), but reasonable gaping. My 5-iron is broken at the min, so hope it would fit in the gap
