Spotted this earlier on. Seth from Skytrak being interviewed, not fully listened to it yet, so not sure if he covers updates etc ... but will be listening later (39:35 mins in)

In this week's episode, Ryan goes through the long list of spotted prototypes from the RSM Classic at Sea Island, including the Titleist Vokey SM8 Wedges, a New Accra steel shaft, Callaway Apex MB's a

So really, its just a features interview. Not a fluff piece, but really nothing new here. They did talk about putting mode that is integrated on the backend for simulator partners to understand when to enable it.

Other than that not really worth listening if you were hoping for some significant updates regarding the future of Skytrak or the upcoming features.

Yeah, listened to it myself now .. and like you said, just advertising chat really ... still annoyed with lack of the updates

It's a cool segment! It is funny, the several references to TruGolf and sim capabilities, but still no damn "Connect," only e6.

Good to know they still exist. Over a year without updates now, starting to get a little concerned. Lets pretend they wouldn't be advertising if they were going out of business haha

They were showing off 3.4 last year at this time and it's still not out. That was the big drop at the PGA Merch Show. I'm really interested to see what, if anything, they announce that week. Anyone out there still believe this is all related to GDPR issues?

You would think with the PGA show right around the corner, they almost have to release something... If not, they're going to get slammed at their booth with questions!

Are they actually going to be there?

They are on the exhibitor list at this point anyways.

So they didn't release anything. Thoughts on the company? What's going on?

Hard to know at this point, but the idea that they are just going to abandon or stop supporting a product at the height of its profitability is almost inconceivable. I thought we'd hear something at the PGA (though to be fair, it's not over) but I'm sure they're working on something.

I hope you’re right but in a business sense, this sounds like they are simply in “Maintain mode”. Keep it going. Low touch. It’s a good product. People will still buy it.

Well it's a good product, so "maintain mode" isn't the worst thing in the world, but still, I'm sure they know that the industry of consumer electronics is evolve or die. This is the part of the cycle where their production costs are at the lowest and their sales are reported to be at their highest ever, so, while it's possible their board is just sitting around milking the profits, this is usually when companies are investing most heavily in R&D and I'm sure they're the same. Whether that R&D bears useful fruit remains to be seen.

I have asked on their text and chat help, each one gives a different answer. Text says an update is coming with no date. Chat says there are no updates.

                    Just my random thoughts

they may have been working on some tweeks
and possibly even bigger changes but got caught flat Footed by changes in tech and pricing in the segment

it’s also possible that the tech in theIr hardware that’s on the market isn’t capable of more software integration and new hardware could price them out of their segment

sometimes things just hit a wall
a photometric floor unit at that price point might have hit that wall, and now it’s a matter of treading water

I say no to to hitting a wall. I think skytrak has been around for 4 years. A lot of tech had to change since then so they should be able to build a better, faster box for the same price point now.
