Plastic covering—remove or keep on?

I removed the small film on the lens of the SkyTrak but it appears there is a thicker piece of plastic that appears removable . Remove or keep on?

also, what do you recommend cleaning skytrak with? I have some green particles/dust from my Fiberbuilt mat on it

Remove the thin top layer (that has little tabs), leave the thicker protective film under that on.

Clean with a soft cotton or microfiber cloth and a spritz of Windex on the cloth (if necessary).

What gunghogolf said. I struggled with this ambiguity as well, as it it not it is obviously not apparent to a new user that there is a film under the film that should not be removed. This should be a much clearer in documentation, and perhaps a sticky post on the forum.
