Why hasn't anyone figured out the SkyTrak shot delay?

I kind of think the short delay with ST helps me keep my head down. No point in looking up immediately if there is a sort delay. And if I can carry that over to the course it'll be great. Because once or twice I may have looked up on a shot while out golfing. Once or twice mind you, because who looks up during their golf swing? The resulting shot is usually not pretty........

I disagree but whatever works for you is, well, whatever works for you. Mostly, the head down thing for me is keeping my shoulder/arm/club distance to the ball consistent.
There are about a million UTube videos about the "sure way" to help your golf game. Some contain some great notions, some, not so much.

But if it works for you then there you go!

I've been wanting a golf simulator in my garage for a long time and have followed the woes of SkyTrak and the issues with shot delay. My question is does anyone know if SkyTrak is actually working on reducing the delay? I own a software company and speed is something we are always tweaking (we deal with really large data sets). The issue can not be the sensors; it has to be in either the data transfer or the calculation. Does anyone know? Maybe I just have not read up on this enough but I would love to have some of my engineers take a crack at it!

I also have not seen many updates posted about this since like 2017 which is also why I'm asking.

The ball takes off once the data gets to the software. Each LM processes data then sends it. The GC2 send data 3 times and skytrak takes that long to get the data out. There’s no way to change it with that LM.

Does anyone know if GM is working to make their Chevy Bolt as fast as the Corvette? Hahaha.....totally kidding.

But seriously, we are getting what we paid for. If you need instant calculation, then its time to step up to a more expensive LM option.

I will agree that I am also worried about the lack of updates and seemingly questionable explanations from SkyTrak_Seth on here. We will see at the PGA show this month...I think that's the make-or-break moment for SkyTrak.

Speaking of which, I will be EXTREMELY interested to see the capabilities and software for the new Mevo+, which is touted as a $2K mini-TrackMan, with similar capabilities. If it lives up to the early hype, I may be ditching SkyTrak and moving to that!

The Mevo+ is super interesting. If it measures spin axis it's going to hurt sales of their other products... right? I wonder what the limitations will be with the + vs. other products in their lineup.

Well, it says that Mevo+ has 15 "accurate" data parameters. Also that it will have sim capabilities. Thus it will have the same 5 ball data as ST:
Balls speed, spin, spin axis, HLA, VLA. I suppose they will include the calculated ball flight data as well, carry, total, flight time, offline, max height, and angle of descent. That is 11 total. What could the other four be? Certainly club head speed, whether calculated or measured (most likely). AoA is essentially confirmed as it was visible in a screen shot. Two more data parameters. All I can think of is path and face. That would be HUGE. However, unlikely, as it would be difficult to do in that price range, and would totally cannibalize Xi line.
