Little over a month in and have everything working except my driver when tee'd up. I use the same ball as with all my other clubs and they register. The only difference is, the tee is closer to the ST unit, but the laser is in the same spot on the ball. Any ideas? The tee is 6" away from the unit and my normal shots are 10" away.

Can't get driver to register shots

Six inches? If you hit center face, the toe of the driver is only 3 and change inches from smashing your ST. Heel impact? You are scraping it.
Risk of damage aside, it probably can't pick up the ball that close. I'd move it to 10+ inches. If that doesn't work, I'd also move the tee back (closer to your right foot) 4-5 inches or so. If that doesn't work, try different footwear.

How do I move it 10" back and still have the laser at the base of the tee? Wouldn't I have to raise the ST? Currently, my ST sits on top of the golf mat. Laser on the base of the tee is 7" away from ST. Still didn't register, tried a different driver, still doesn't register.
What is your setup relative to the ST? Iron shots are how far away from unit and how far away are the golf tee's for the woods?

I believe the laser is calibrated to put the ball 11-12 inches from the ST. If it doesn't, the ST is at the wrong height, not level, or laser is miscalibrated. In either case, as I stated, there is nothing magical about the laser. Just place the ball/tee 11-12 inches from the base of level ST. The ball should stay on this target line, but can be moved towards (lob wedge) or away (driver) from target as needed to get a read.Last edited by Morini; 01-17-2020, 04:50 AM.

If the skytrak is on your golf mat, the laser should be about 11-12 inches from the skytrak. don't raise the skytrak, it needs to stay level with the mat. just like you put the ball on the laser dot when you aren't using a tee, you put the tee in the mat where the laser dot is.

Don't overthink the laser. It serves no function other than indicate a reasonable spot to put the ball. All that matters is that the two image sensors get a good look at the ball. Exactly where that is depends on trajectory. For driver, I'd suggest 11-12 inches towards you, and then 4-6 inches to your right (if you are right handed). For irons, spot on the laser. For lofted wedges, a few inches to the left of the laser.

I had some friends over the other day and one of the guys had a hybrid that would not register a shot. We tried everything but it would not pick it up. All other shots were good and my machine hardly every has a no read. We decided to tape the toe area of the club in thinking that it was shiny and reflection was an issue. Once taped, it picked up its shots every time. Had not run into that before.

Moving the ball 1.5" behind the dot is what worked for me. Didn't miss a shot with that placement. Agree on the wedges, I'm about an inch in front of the dot and a little closer to me. Thank you everyone for the help.
