  • "Aligning Skytrak with hitting Mat"

I've been struggling with some no-reads recently (bought the unit in December), specifically with driver.

Everything I've read on the forum says that you need to level Skytrak with the hitting mat. Excuse my ignorance, but what exactly does that mean?

Currently, I have a hitting mat thats about 1.25" thick, am I raising the skytrak so that the bottom of the unit is level with it? or Do people put the unit on the mat itself, without the 3 screws?

It means where the bottom of the unit would be if it was not in a case.

For my unit (and I am sure I am not alone), the best position is slightly higher than the mat. In terms of getting a read, the important thing is that both image sensors get a clear view of the ball. Trajectory is a factor, so it may help to move the ball a small amount to the right (towards your right foot) for driver, and left for high loft wedges.

So assuming it's in the FMJ case, it should sit slightly higher than the mat?

Also, when you say move the ball to the right, right of the dot if i'm looking at it down the line?

Was struggling to get any type of read when using driver, even placed the tee an inch behind the dot.

To the right if you are looking at it from your golf stance. The other issue could be that your driver is reflective. Also that whatever tee you are using interferes.

Also, if your unit is too high, it will obviously impact the lower trajectory shots such as driver.

Thank you, i'll try it out again tonight.

Was very frustrating to hit 6-7 driver shots in a row, and have it not read

Little over a month in and have everything working except my driver when tee'd up. I use the same ball as with all my other clubs and they register. The only difference is, the tee is closer to the ST unit, but the laser is in the same spot on the ball. Any ideas? The tee is 6" away from the unit and my normal shots are

This is the easiest way I have found to align my SkyTrak 👍🏼
