Aligning the Skytrak

So it seems nearly everything I hit on the SkyTrak is a draw, actually really happy with the shape.

Then played on course over the weekend and everything was straight.

Could the Skytrak showing a draw be due to alignment of the unit, or is it just my swing changing!

If it is alignment, how do I ensure I get that right gong forward!

Also as a side note, what is the size of the 3 threaded holes in the base of the unit?

A few things to consider:

- Alignment being off will impact start line not shot shape from my experience. I think “roll” being off may impact spin but I’m not certain on that.
- If you are inside you may be swinging flatter. I had this problem a lot at the start and even 2 years in I can get flat inside.
- If you hit your mat at all first I find the ball hooks a lot (even if it’s not noticeably short from being really fat). On grass I find the slight fat shot doesn’t get penalized directionally but my mat grabs the heel.
- I have a tendency to try to max carry when I’m hitting on my sim and not necessarily hit to a distance (subconsciously). This has me deloft the club a bit more and hit bigger draws.
- I also found SkyTrak exaggerates shot shape from what I see outdoors a bit. The direction rarely surprised me but the amount of hook I hit for a given axis seemed a bit high. The good thing is practicing this way makes you have tighter tolerances on the course.

Correct about the shape. Alignment will just effect the horizontal launch angle and nothing else.

Since skytrak doesn’t account for spin decay, I believe any fade or draw will be a bit over pronounced.

Just to clarify, ST range does not account for spin decay. TGC19, for example does.
