SkyTrak v3.4.1 Official Release

Hi Everyone,

As you all know, this has been quite a wait - thanks to all of you for your patience! There are a lot of backend changes that needed to happen for v3.4.1, and thus we will be rolling this release out over the next couple of days. I wanted to start with the forum and give you guys first crack at it before it goes live to the public. So below, you can find the PC download links for 32-bit and 64-bit. Please give this a go and let me know if you run into any issues. Assuming all goes smoothly, we will roll out iOS and Android beginning tomorrow.

v3.4.1 Release Notes

- Added support for multiple accounts to aid in switching back and forth easily between users and for multiplayer challenges.
- Added the ability to create a custom golf bag in Profile. You may toggle to this bag in the Practice club selection popup.
- Improvements to high ball speed measurements (150mph+).
- Fixed Dispersion Circle display bug in shot plotting screen.
- Fixed LH display bug in Shot History.
- Fixed delete shot bug in Practice Greens.
- Added Internet Availability icon to Dashboard.

Thanks for the update! I was able to download and update with no problems. I haven't been able to use skytrak yet but was able to start up the program and pick a new user profile.

I was so excited to do the update I didn't check the previous firmware version to see if it changed. It looks like the FW version for this release is 1.7.

Looking forward to testing the ball speed improvements!

Yeah, ball speed issue was taken care of in the image processing engine, so no need to update the firmware this go round.

Downloaded and updated the x64 version. Only issue I ran into was the database update failed upon initial launch; it took about 5 minutes before it bombed out. Prompted me to drop the database or re-try; was too lazy to retry so I just dropped it.
Warning for those that encounters this database issue, if you care about all of your shot history, don't drop it. Currently, only my 2017 history shows up, all 2018-2020 are gone (so it appears).

New bags for bag mapping is nice, be sure to save the bag and give it a name. My initial save as Default didn't keep any clubs added; had to give it a name and then save it before it took.

With the new profiles feature, the initial profile name is likely your MASTER profile & account. If you need to login (inadvertently logged out or what not), it's this master profile name that you'll need to log in with. Using the master email address to log in to the SkyTrak app no longer works, at least not for me.

If you don't want to risk your old shot db, you can search for the file EtrGolf.db prior to doing the update, and make a copy of it in a safe place.

If you dropped your database then it will probably take some time to resync everything, so I bet after some time your 2018-2020 data will all populate. As Ron suggested, you can search in your recycle bin for that etrgolf.db file just in case.

Also, we are moving away from using email to log in per GDRP and the like, so that's why we are prompting to create a new profile name. You will use that profile name moving forward.

I did the update but when I try to connect the skytrak in network mode my network doesn't pop up in the wizard setup so I cant link to it. it connects in direct mode fine. I tried to manually put in my network and password and it still wont connect. I also cant connect on my skytrak tgc interface. what do I do now?

Do you show wifi connections to connect to? Thats what I was referring too. When I downloaded it something happen but went to"Network and sharing center " and clicked the run troubleshooter...wam it said fixed issues

Phish828 yes it does show other wifi signals but mine, manual input doesn't work. I went to troubleshooting and it didn't say I had any problems. IDK

After installing the update I'm no longer able to access the Practice section.

I get prompted that a Premium Package is required to access this area of the software.

I do not currently have any active premium packages and have not for over a year now.

I have been able to access the Practice session before the upgrade.

Ah, we took out that loophole of having no packages associated with the account and still having access to practice. No worries though, you can go to the web store and add the free/basic package to your account...then it will work as usual for you.
