  • Miss reads to the left

Anyone else getting misreads to the left it’s all lined up correct and straight but you hit a shot and everything is pulling left and hooking . And it’s not me even a hard fade only goes straight . A normal shot always goes left . Filmed where it hits the screen and it’s spot on . But the ball always goes left any help would be great ? Could it be the balls ? Using pro v 1s they have lost a bit of the writing . Could the skytrak be faulty ??

What software are you using? Have you configured an offset?

Hooks and Fades have nothing to do with alignment. The only thing alignment effects is the horizontal launch angle. There is nothing you could do to the SkyTrak to influence curve. That is all you.

If your balls are starting left when you are hitting your mark, then you are not aligned correctly. Simple as that. Common issue with FMJ because the unit doesn't always sit square inside of it. Just adjust where the unit is pointing until "hitting the line" actually hits the line.

Ok, so you established that the shot hits the screen right down the target line. What does HLA read? What is spin axis.

If HLA is not zero when you hit your target, the unit is not aligned. That is the first order of business.

Second, as celeras mentions, spin axis is not related to alignment. Either your swing causes the spin axis, or the unit is faulty. I can't speak about your specific case, but historically speaking it is almost always the swing, not the unit. Assuming that it is level, of course. If the unit tilts towards or away from the ball, I believe it will cause false spin axis. However, anything more than a few degrees would be blatantly obvious to the eye.

These two articles may help you:

The SkyTrak launch monitor is amazingly accurate, but you won't get good results until you have it aligned properly. Here is what 20 9-iron shots in a row look like from a good player on a SkyTrak - 20 perfect baby draws starting about 2.5-3 deg right, and all landing in a 30-foot circle. Before you can hope to achieve

New SkyTrak owners frequently complain about SkyTrak not reading their shot shape or distances correctly. It's so common that the community has coined a term for it, called "Indoor Swing Syndrome." Here's the Deal When you first start hitting balls indoors, there are many factors that can make you swing differently fro

            Thanks guys ,
it does seem as I have the jacket it as to be aiming more left than you’d think only about 1cm then all goes straight
those alignment dots are also so hard to get an accurate line as they are slightly spread out along the Matt it’s more like a line not a dot . I have the latest software I downloaded from here through Seth .
yes my spin axis and center can be zero and was going left but since I just edged it out all good

            thanks all for your help

As my article describes, the laser alignment mode dots are not reliable and shouldn't be used for alignment.

Yes, forget about those dots for alignment. They have no function other than to give an approximate location to put the ball. They are just lasers attached to the case. Not connect to the inner workings of photometric system at all. Just read Ron's guide. Chip to a target. Adjust ST alignment until chips that hit the target read straight. That is it. This aligns the internals of ST to your target line. As long as the unit is otherwise level, the unit will be as accurate as can be.
