  • Everything going right

I didn't hit Skytrak for few days and now like evry shot is going right (not massive. Maybe about 9 spin axis and 5 HLA). I have not change anything on my setup. Just took dust cover off, like I do every time.
I only use range on Skytrak and I don't really care alliment that much. I just roughly look that I'm line with Skytrak and hit. I usually just care about shot shape and those kind of things.
My normal shot shape is draw and now I almost need hit of the net to get ball go left.
I've noticed Skytrak sometimes seems to live life of it's on, but just wanted to share and hear if others have had this kind of problems?
I've read ball going too much left has been problem for some.

Thanks. I've read your article before.
But for my understanding even Skytrak was 30 degrees angle on either way, it shouldn't affect on shot shape?
For me now it's like almost impossible to get ball curve on left.

Are you lining up a black mark on the ball toward the SkyTrak prior to hitting? Sometimes if we have trouble reading the dimples, that can certainly help. As far as alignment (which would affect horizontal angle), then you do need to make sure you are hitting exactly parallel to the unit.

Basically yes, I've tried all those yesterday and today also.
Before this I used just ball what was on basket and hit it. Like I said, I usually try to practice my shot shape and all worked fine. Now just everything curve right.
My unit is only about 6 months old.
I'm not english, so could you explain what you mean by parellel to unit?
Do you mean level with hitting mat and unit?
If so, I would like to hear what would be torelanse of that.
      Thanks for earlier reply.

Seth means to set up your target line parallel to edge of Skytrak. Like train tracks. I would do that and chip to a string target just to make sure straight shots read straight, at least for now while trouble shooting.

If the unit is level, spin axis is probably what you actually have. Photometrically, reading spin axis is fairly straight forward, and of course there will be the odd misread, but there should be no bias. Also, if it is a driver, 9 degrees really isn't that much, even a slight difference between club face and club path will cause that.

You need to eliminate set up errors. Work through it systematically. Does it happen for every shot? If chips have zero spin axis, absolutely no reason your iron would, unless you actually are slicing or hooking.

Try teeing up an iron. Have somebody else take a shot. Etc.

Thanks Morini. I will try that chip thing tomorrow.

Odd spins are part of game and I really accept those on simulator.
I kind of only use irons. Because I care of my neighbors. Too much noise on driver.

Earlier I did try to tee up with little white tee to my irons. Result was zero reads of about 10 shot, so I gave up.
That was when I was trying to do that mat has something to do with my distance.

Ok. I try eliminate all physical things, but I really haven't touch at all on that 2 days before this happen. So dog can't be blamed,,, or wife

Yeah, white tees can get picked up the sensor ... but it shouldn't be zero reads. Make sure you are reasonably level as well, and that the height if level with the mat.

Odd spins are quite rare, especially if you have a clean ball and place the logo towards the unit.

" I almost need hit of the net to get ball go left."

Just curious, where are you standing in relation to your net? Middle, or on the right side? If you are on the right side, trying to hit middle of net will lead to problems. Your target line should be perpendicular to the net (like a T) so if you stand to the right, you should hit to the right side of the net.

I'm standing right or left of net. Just depends what way you're looking hehe.
My actual target line where ball and skytrak are, is about middle of net.

Just side note. I've always wonder, why many people stand middle of hitting area if have space.
      Ball should be middle.
Working...
