  • SkyTrak For Seniors - Slow Swing Speeds

Hey all, I am not the one in question here, but my dad is. All of my distances seem pretty spot on with my driver SS being around 100-103. That being said, my father probably tops out around 70. Does anyone know if SkyTrak reads very accurately for low launch, low speed shots, with lowish spin? I know my dad is a short hitter, but he seems REALLY short on my machine. Thanks

It's absolutely accurate. You can post some data of what you're seeing. He may just have some indoor swing syndrome going on if he doesn't hit in your sim regularly.

I did try and let him know about swinging indoors vs out, he did gain some ballspeed after several dozen shots. I will have to see if he improves even more over the course of winter, as he gets more comfortable with swinging inside.

Please understand that indoor swing goes away on its own over time. The best thing to do is just to try not to fix it, and just give it time. Swinging harder will absolutely not help. If playing TGC2019, can boost up to normal distance, and then gradually reduce the boost as ball speed recovers.

The Skytrak absolutely works with slower SS. I have it for my kid's to use and it seems to pick up their swings.

I'm not the fastest on the block, but driver speed varies with me from 70-85mph and it reads that just fine. (Compared to a Mevo) so I'm good with my readings.

Thanks for the input, I think he is just not adjusted to hitting indoors.

I find accuracy does fall off at VERY slow speeds. But from 30 mph to 220 mph ball speed, it will read accurately if set up properly (as usual, with the occasional misread).
