Best Possible Lighting For Ball Reading

I have put a small cardboard piece over top of my SkyTrak metal case, that extends about 2-3" over the vertical camera "plane" of the machine, to keep as much ceiling light out of the unit as possible. It's a little soon to tell, but it seems to be helping with ball reads. Is there any perfect setup of lighting and everything to maximize the effectiveness of the SkyTrak unit?
