probably shouldnt be hitting golf balls with a kid running around/ leaving 2 k on the ground for him to touch?

    day 1 stuff really.

ernie18, WOW, that's some insight. What do you have for day 2 stuff? Don't leave the knife block in the babies bedroom?

Just played a full round of e6 on my new rig...loved it! ...except putting and chipping.

Putting would change lines between hitting the ball and showing the shot...weird. I wonder if out was picking up my white putter face?

      Hey guys,

Questions regarding the E6 Demo. It says on it's website that there's 18 holes. I've tried it only once so far, but the 3 holes that were played were the exact same thing. Is it actually just the same hole over and over 18 times or am I doing something wrong?

E6 has a most clunky and confusing menu and options system.

When starting a new round, add yourself as Guest and pick a tee option. Then, instead of clicking START ROUND, click the arrow at the right side of the screen to continue through a few pages of additional options. One of hte pages is a list of what holes to play. Click "Select All" and you will then be able to play all 18 holes.

          Hey Guys,

I have been following this thread. I have a question about PC and e6. I have an old Macbook Pro that I will be replacing soon. Can I get a top of the line new Macbook pro and run windows 10 thru bootcamp and then use e6 from that to use with my skytrak? I will be getting a new Macbook anyway, was just hoping I would not have to buy a separate PC for e6 (and hopefully TGC). I apperciate anything anyone can tell me. Cheers

Yes it can...that is how I run it.

15 inch Macbook Pro with ATI 370x graphics.

Runs E6 demo OK. E6 doesnt seem to have any graphics options to adjust, but the default looks and runs ok.

It also runs TGC OK if you turn down some options. However TGC does make it run pretty hot...fans kick up to 100%.

Its not as good as even a low-end gaming PC, but its good enough for me.

Anyone else having really long iron distances? Almost the opposite of wgt and st range. The driver seems about right, but irons are really long. It may just be excessive rollout, but I flew a lot of greens.

Hmmm, not for me. Pretty spot on. But that being said, I'm just passing time till there's full multi player sim. This is getting to be a joke.

I know we've give SkyTrak_Seth grief with timelines, but come on man, it's been this past summer, then fall, NOW WHAT'S NEXT?

Hell, it was March originally for e6 cloud, IIRC.

Recent (yesterday morning) email correspondence with TruGolf contact:

My question to him: "any update on e6 and skytrak?"

His response: "Nothing as of yet. We’re still finalizing the security layer and are currently waiting on SkyTrack themselves for the data. It should be complete by the holidays"

Is this just more of the same from TruGolf/SkyTrak or is this actually promising? Honestly don't know.

He is just telling you what we have known all along. Skygolf is still messing around with the on-line license management.
I am pretty sure they where messing around with that initially as well. In order to get some cash they decided to sell those early units without any license and GIP etc ...
As Seth already said a long time ago. "all sim vendors have received the SDK" Yeah right, maybe they did but they are not allowed to use it.

Based on what we have seen so far, for those of you that will buy the sim SW from Skygolf. Do you really think you will be playing sim golf during the weekend or do you think you will spend your time on this forum complaining that the license server is refusing to validate your license?

And the hits continue. It's all BS. If it wasn't for this ridiculous GIP fee E6 would of been ready. That being said, I wouldn't spend $1600 on that software for 15 courses. There's no sign of E6 cloud, that I'm sure E6 can release without skygolfs assistance. Something they can market to their other hardware partners.

At this time, I don't honestly see anything coming in the near future. I hope I'm wrong for all the Skytrak users out there.

I've addressed this all in a new thread. I'm not getting into playing the blame game. I just want it done.

We all firmly believe the blame lies with skygolf. That being said, it was sporttraks decision who they partnered up with. Maybe a bad choice? Any regrets?

Sim Play with a Lefty and Righty:

Played 18 holes last weekend by myself as lefty in USB Mode. Next to no issues with the exception of my white Taylor Made hybrid not registering rather frequently (let's say 1 in 4 shots); however, then I had a buddy over last night and he's a righty so I tried the wi-fi option. We had multiple problems including the red dot disappearing really often... I believe I noticed the Skytrak losing it's network connection before the red dot disappeared multiple times. I moved my old Belkin router (N) to the same room as us to get rid of interference but it didn't really help things (and PC was hardwired). The other issue I noticed is that e6 set me up a right handed player despite the settings be on left about 10% of the time as well (again on WI-Fi). USB seemed to fix most of the issues again but it was a bit of a pain moving the skytrak back and forth with the cable attached. I have a brand new gaming PC (middle of the line) and the speed of the shot was very acceptable for us by the way. We had the usual chipping issues as mentioned in other posts for under 10 yards. Seems distance control is a bit of a problem still for skytrak. Very fun nevertheless but I can't wait to try TGC to compare.

Lefty13, I've posted this many times and it wasn't any issue for me at least to set up the skytrak as a righty with USB attached and just leave it. There's plenty of room to swing over the unit and you don't have to move it. Give it a try.
