Skytrak and Fibrebuilt practice Station

Hello,

Just wondering how well the practice Station works with the skytrak. I'm considering buying this but I'm considered the rubber stance area isn't wide enough considering the skytrak position must stay static. For example if I'm setup for a driver and switch to a wedge will I need to move the skytrak so that I have the proper stance?

I have skytrak with fiberbuilt mat. I use a birdie tee and never have to move the skytrak whether hitting irons or driver. Works great.

So no matter the club u are able to keep the ball on the red dot and not move the skytrak?

I have a 5x4 fiberbuilt and do not move the skytrak, but my stance does change, I don't think I would feel comfortable with the flight decks 3' wide stance mat.

The difference in ball position between a driver and wedge with skytrak is only maybe 4-5 inches.

But would that not require the skytrak to be moved after each club switch?

I have the practice station and skytrak. I have used it for a few years now and it works well. I do not have to move the skytrak and can hit all of my clubs. I would love for the stance area to be a little wider when I'm hitting driver. If you can get it from Costco then at least you can return it if you don't like it.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm in Canada so if I pull the trigger I think I'm stuck with it. I think I like the idea of it but I would like to be able to hit all clubs while keeping the ball on the red dot and not moving the skytrak. That's my biggest concern. If they only made the thing a bit wider it wouldn't be an issue at all

Also, be aware that placing the ball exactly on the red dot is not always optimum. Depending on the loft of the club you may find that you need to place the ball back or forward vs. the red dot. For example, I used to get a lot of missed reads with long irons (3, 4) and fairway woods, until I started placing the ball an inch or two behind the red dot. I do have the Skytrak metal case, so that may reduce the field of view of the camera, though. For driver, I find I can place the ball (or tee) on the dot since the ball sits elevated because of the tee -- i.e. the ballflight in front of the camera likely matches better its field of view.

I got the flight deck (without practice station). I do not like it to be honest. I built a 4 x 6 feet diy divot action for $100 and couldn't be happier.

The bristles are quite stiff. Stiffer than the other FB inserts. Then when I wanted a stance mat, I had to choose between practice station and making my own and inserting the flight deck. The latter was difficult due to oval shape and also significant height of the flight deck. The practice station was a bit too narrow (as discussed in this thread).

If you are handy and want to use a fiberbuilt insert you could do something like the link below. I did a less impressive version and was happy with the result, cheaper than the fiberbuilt hitting station too.
