I am unable to use my Skytrak in its protective case (the metal one from their site) when using USB mode. After a lengthy discussion with three levels or escalation with SkyGolf's customer service, the issue was blamed on static from the protective case.
Note that individually, the case and the USB connection work great (i.e. Case+Network mode is fine and USB without case is fine). So somehow the case is introducing static electricity into the equation. I've tried grounding it, I've tried padding the areas closest to the Skytrak with rubber foam, but never had any success.
Has anyone here figured out how to deal with that?
