    SkyTrak at 2022 PGA Show

Has anyone heard whether the SkyTrak folks will make any product announcements at the PGA show this January?

    Any rumors?

I don't see them listed as exhibitor in this list yet, but surely they will be there, even if nothing new to release.

Skytrak isn't there, but Rapsodo is listed. I'm interested to see if any other launch monitor companies come out with lower priced options.

        They won't be there.

Interesting. I assume that there is a cost vs benefit trade off. Clearly nothing new to show. I didn't see parent Skygolf either, but may have missed it. I wonder if Rapsodo will show something new.

The PGA Show is (in normal years at least) ridiculously expensive. I sometimes wonder about the business sense of some of the companies who do attend (depending on your product category).

Great point. I am sure many a training aid creators have taken a huge bath attending the show over the years. Probably much more cost effective ways of reaching intended audiences these days, with the emergence of influencers, targeted ads etc.

Hoping the PGA Show isn't further affected by the omicron variant surge, but several large companies just pulled out of the early-January CES show in Vegas because of omicron worries. And Florida is a bigger petri dish for covid than Vegas.

We have a team of 4 going to check out all the new products, but I won't be surprised if exhibitors and attendees start pulling out.

Gotta turn off corporate media. FL has among the lowest infection rates in the country. And omicron is no real threat to most folks.

            Hi

Skytrak probably won't be there, but rapsodo got some new patent approval in November 2021, they might have something new for us.

Yes, if they pull off creating working hardware based on that patent ... a game changer. Club data at record low price points. Though Mevo+ with pro package just lowered it significantly.

Highly doubtful. I just came back from Doral and every line we saw down there for testing was insanely long. No way it has a low infection rate. They were also testing at Shula’s Senator course and we had a hard time getting in to play because of the line through parking lot.

One of our employees (26 yr old, athletic, healthy) is currently home sick with omicron which hit him within 2 days of being exposed - high fever, and the worst bone/spine pain he's ever had. There may be little threat of death, but there are lots of levels of sh*t between well and dead.

Let's get our facts straight. This is from the Forida's own Department of Health website (http://ww11.doh.state.fl.us/comm/_pa...ata_latest.pdf):
