Hi Seth. I'm new to this forum but have been reading as much as I can about SkyTrak on this and other forums. It seems that many experienced sim users think that The Golf Club game is the best simulator software out there right now. In fact, if I'm understanding and remembering things correctly, Bubba22 and Zmax were instrumental (please correct me if I'm wrong) in getting ProTee to integrate their sim hardware (and gc2) with The Golf Club software. So my question to you/SkyTrak is simply this: Has there been any thought to integrating SkyTrak with The Golf Club? And if so, what are the odds that this might happen? And if so, when?

I'm going to need 20' to 30' feet! I'm planning on running this entire operation on my office desktop (located in basement) with the projector/hitting area and screen located in family room on 1st floor... fun, fun, fun... just hope I can maintain some type of quality of image, and control the PC just fine with an iPad connection to it.

Brettster, I've got the reverse set up. The PC is in my office on the first floor and my sim space is in the basement. I got two USB Extenders, drilled a hole through the floor, ran one of the cables (with extender) all the way to the Skytrak unit, probably about 35-45'. The second extender wasn't as long, and just hangs on the ceiling in the basement, I use a wireless keyboard with track pad and the receiver for that connects to the USB extender cable. I've also got a long HDMI that runs from the PC to my sim area. I don't see any loss in quality of image or control of the PC. Hope that all makes sense. PM me if you want more details and the products I used.

ProTee United Does TGC have the ability to offset the centerline of the image to account for slightly offset hitting areas? For instance, I would like to shift the hitting line right about 6 inches to align with my mat's centerline.
For those wondering and comparison sake, e6 does have this option available.

It sounds like this nightmare of waiting is near the end. Even still I'm getting tired of checking skytraks website for the release. I setup a couple monitors to email me when their website changes.

Finally!
I'm also happy as we'll have a lot more competitors in the TGC tour. Ryder cup should be quite interesting with 3x more players.
Also, on a selfish note, there are a lot more potential complainers! Should help voice requests for continued improvement of the TGC sim software. Glad you guys are (shortly) finally included.
Lets hope Skytrak doesn't somehow fuddle up the pricing...

Yeah but I don't see the rule against talking about other sims. Other forums sure, but we can definitely talk about other sims/tours and just not reference the website/players correct? Protee can you clarify this for us, maybe even just a PM?
-
Not sure what it is you do not understand. When you want to talk about TGC you post in the TGC thread. When you want to talk about PG you post in the PG Thread. When you talk about Flightscope you post in the Flightscope thread. How hard can it be? We expect constructive non-commercial posts. Almost all sim products are listed on this forum. They even have their own review pages. Please post your comments in the correct thread and respect our forum rules. Thats all we ask. We want to keep this forum clean for +60k monthly viewers and prevent it from becoming an ordinary chatbox.

Ok, so it was moved/deleted because it was regarding a different sim software in the wrong thread. That's all, I understand. It's just without clarification, sometimes you're left to try and figure it out and what seems clear as day to the admin may not be so clear to the poster. Thanks.

Well now I'm just annoyed. I cannot get any PC to see my Skytrak via USB. Always used network mode so never bothered before. Don't suppose there is some magic tip to making that work?
Gonna rely on ProTee's response that it has been tested with wifi.
Would any of the beta testers please chime in on if you used network mode and how it worked for you? I cannot imagine this being an issue, especially wth Wifi working on the E6 demo, seems like a basic connection method Skytrak would make available in their SDK.

Wonder how they will handle the early adopter rebate they had mentioned before.

So SkyTrak... we're waiting.... :-)

Explain to me the course library in tgc. Can you choose from real and user created courses or are they all lumped together? With so many courses, how are they searched?

You can search by name, theme, number of holes, difficulty and sort by newest, highest rated weekly/monthly/all time, most played weekly/monthly/all time, official courses, suggested courses, handicap rated, public courses, friends courses/played/favourites, your courses, courses you played courses you marked favourit. There are plenty of external lists containing real courses... including a list on our tour website.... Yikes!

Maybe we can talk Protee into making them +10's like they do on PG. LolOriginally posted by goatbarn View PostFinally!

It's in the release for 3.0 I believe. SkyTrak_Seth, everyone but you has been very vocal on this topic during the past couple of days. Don't you care about the health of Joko? He needs this.

That might be enough for me to pump the brakes on TGC, and maybe go for E6.Originally posted by goodmatt78 View PostProTee United Does TGC have the ability to offset the centerline of the image to account for slightly offset hitting areas?
