SkyTrak and The Golf Club (TGC) Simulation Software

Hi Seth. I'm new to this forum but have been reading as much as I can about SkyTrak on this and other forums. It seems that many experienced sim users think that The Golf Club game is the best simulator software out there right now. In fact, if I'm understanding and remembering things correctly, Bubba22 and Zmax were instrumental (please correct me if I'm wrong) in getting ProTee to integrate their sim hardware (and gc2) with The Golf Club software. So my question to you/SkyTrak is simply this: Has there been any thought to integrating SkyTrak with The Golf Club? And if so, what are the odds that this might happen? And if so, when?

Thanks for the writeup. What's the name of the Whistling Straits course you're playing? I have trouble sorting through courses, so maybe that's it's name.. I know TGC doesn't make finding courses named after their real life counterpart very easy.

So you are using 6ft gimmes? Is there a hotkey for a gimme or mulligan that you've found? I don't think putting will ever be perfect, but if it's close, I'd like the attempt at a putt, and then the option of tapping in the remaining putt at my discretion.

Hoosierdaddy v2.7 has a couple of special "tweak" features build in for Skytrak. We will let you know what they are and how to use them when TGC for Skytrak is officially released.

No it don't work like that. You choose either gimmie or not and I am not sure if you have choices as to how far or not. It's only on the sim version I don't think it is on the PC version. And you set it prior to the round so anything that stops within 6 ft or whatever you have it set at just counts as one.

I think I just typed in Whistling and it came up with several You can also type in protee and find alot of them that way.

I had really good luck finding courses just last night I was going through the PGA schedule for next year finding courses we can play on our tour. And I think I found every course but 2 up until the end of march.

But I can tell you right now there is no such thing as a tap in. thats why we always play 6ft it is so hard to try and hit it hard enough to register a shot and hit it soft enough not to jump the hole. even at 2ft. plus a round would take an extra hour for all the ones that you have to hit 6 times before it registers. On the Protee there is a microphone and it has to hear something in order to launch. a ball. So even sometimes a touchy chip is hard to get off.

Absolutely great write up Hoosierdaddy. I echo everything you say. TGC and Skytrak is a perfect combo. If you add the ProTee sensor to get club data then it makes it even more complete. Hoosier ou will love version 2.7 even more than 2.6

Im doing some due diligence prior to building out my basement sim. I am trying to get a budget together for a nice but not overly expensive system and there is SO MUCH info to consider. I am curious how you marry the ProTee Sensor with SkyTrak. Are you talking about the putting sensor OR the club sensor. Are you talking about when the course software TGC or E6 comes out? How would this work and are you doing it currently? If ProTee uses a windows and SkyTrak needs iPad how do these communicate into one simulator AND how do they work together? Does this give you more accurate data? I feel like I have been looking into this for weeks and Im not sure how much progress Ive made. HA

I am so stoked after reading this post by hoosier. I am patiently waiting on pricing and release date. Hopefully it's not too expensive but that's why they made credit cards that the wife doesn't know about what the balance is =)! I look forward to teeing up this season and joining you all. If anyone could post a video besides the par to pro one showing more game play that would be awesome. For now i'm waiting since we are almost 2 months out from skytraks post of expect more by end of summer which is 2.5 weeks away

I don't think you can put a price tag on the amount of fun your gonna have with this. If it turns out to be $1000 then so be it. It's still cheaper than E6.

Coda I m talking about the ProTee club sensor with the Skytrak ball sensor. That's my wish! It's like having the GC2 with HMT. I don't think adding club daa will make it any more accurate, just more information. Currently Skytrak is being integrated with TGC. Integrating with the ProTee señora would be an easy fix.

so excited for this combination. Does TGC simulator version record the shot data from the ST or other device? It would be great to align your stats with your golf rounds, similar to what you'd get from a GPS system on a real course, but with all the extra ST data that it captures.

TGC runs on PC only.

My second round at St. Andrews. I suck buttermilk. I had em going into 18 and then Crazy greens killed me. Had a couple issues in the video. Some how turn order got turned on, and then my box disconnected shortly after. 2 or 3 shots not detected this round. The second swing is never as good as the first. I had several rounds where it never missed one stroke. Not sure what happened today. My drives are terrible. I am swinging out of my socks to try and get distance but I just can't get it. But I think I figured it out. I will let you know how that turns out as soon as I test it next time . My back is killing me now from swinging so hard. 36 holes today and I am tore up.

In the video I showed how (when you want to play with someone online) you do it. The steps are the same the only difference is I had turn order turned off then you see just the ghost balls. then later you see what it is like to play with someone online with turn order turned on.

this winter is going to be fun. Never thought i would say this but I can't wait for the snow.

Hoosier thanks for posting those videos. I cannot wait for this. You have definitely helped me choose skytrak. Question though, what mat are you using to hit off of? I currently use the monster turf mat but yours hold tees so much better. What tees are you using also?
