  • SkyTrak and The Golf Club (TGC) Simulation Software

    Hi Seth. I'm new to this forum but have been reading as much as I can about SkyTrak on this and other forums. It seems that many experienced sim users think that The Golf Club game is the best simulator software out there right now. In fact, if I'm understanding and remembering things correctly, Bubba22 and Zmax were instrumental (please correct me if I'm wrong) in getting ProTee to integrate their sim hardware (and gc2) with The Golf Club software. So my question to you/SkyTrak is simply this: Has there been any thought to integrating SkyTrak with The Golf Club? And if so, what are the odds that this might happen? And if so, when?

  • We may get a $100 discount per pro-tee as well.

      • Cough Cough, I think that there is something going around and many people will be calling in sick today. Can anyone beat my 5 rounds in one day? You will have to register the software and then request a license key. At least that's how it was done 6 months ago. Your registration code is 20 characters and your license key is over 100 characters.

        • Call ProTee? I have codes but SkyGolf of course is in the dark. Is there a US # for protee or do we call the netherlands?

            You will want to email for license key as it is super long. Copy and paste it. And that way you will have a record of your key. Good luck, I have to get ready for work as I won't be calling in sick.

        • You can use this board to contact them, they are super fast and very helpful. My information is 6 months old. Maybe they do things differently now... who knows I edited my above post

          • They've now removed it from the website when you try to search. Customer service now says maybe next week. This is just messed up.

            • I'm actually glad that this took so long to release. Now it seems like Perfect Golf may be a better fit for me, and it sounds like it will be substantially cheaper. I've waited this long, I'll wait a little longer to make sure I get the right software.

                There was never any chance they would do a major release on a Friday. No company in their right mind would do that unless they were ready to work the weekend to deal with the issues that would assuredly happen.

                And yes, the longer this drags out, the worse it is for TGC. They have legitimate competition in this space that they never had before and the one advantage TGC seemingly had in being first to market is withering away if in fact PG is close to a release. If I were Pro Tee I'd be at the least concerned about this if not outright upset.

                  But were not talking about any company here, this is skytrak, who knows what they will do. TGC has been ready forever (at least it seems that way to those of us that are waiting). Testing storefront, come on, they are using skygolfs storefront and according to my own personal purchase history, it has been working for 6 years with no issues.

                  Agree that TGC must be just as frustrated, if PG comes out soon, they may lose in the end as well.

                  The part i don't get is - why do they even need SkyGolf at all?
                  E6 Demo works without security restrictions, even after the 2.0 Firmware update. It's playable now with an internet download. Why bother with SG when it's obviously costing them 10's of thousands of dollars this winter?

                  The E6 demo sorta works. But it's not talking to the Skytrak the way it should. That's why the beta testers can chip and putt from the fringe properly, and everyone else can't. In any case, the full E6 won't work with Skytrak, unless you go through SkyGolf.

                  Sure the annual rate is cheaper but who is going to only golf for a year and quit?

                  Be honest with yourself about how long you plan to have a simulator and PG will start to look expensive.

                    There's a rumor that it will be $250/year, or a $400 one time fee. No official pricing has been announced yet (to my knowledge), so the price is speculative, but intriguing nonetheless.

                    I see. Yes $400 one time purchase would be a lot cheaper. It doesn't really make sense though given their annual rate, or any need to undercut the $1000 TGC price by that much. I've never seen anything from PP along those lines. I hope you're right though!

                • I mistated....I have order number and ID number, doesn't sound like a code. Second level of customer service took my number and said they will "get right back to me". Not holding breath. Funny, credit card went though, hmmmmm?

                  No response from Pro-Tee.

                    I don't think its operational yet... You should have received a cool looking email with all the details on where to download, how to install, etc from SkyGolf right after your purchase.

                    I figured I'd make the leap, besides I've p%ssed away money before so this wouldn't be the first.

                    As per ProTee's comment on receiving a cool looking email, the only email I received from SkyGolf was a bland looking receipt of payment, lol.

                • I know protee and Seth will make sure he gets taken care of. Just sucks that they already removed it again. He might be the only none beta tester playing tgc this weekend. I tried to do it from my phone earlier since I'm at work but the search just didn't work at all on the mobile skygolf site. I would have jumped on it right away.

                  • I was on the phone with customer support at Skytrak/Skygolf today about some problems with my account, and I also asked about the TGC sim. The person I spoke with didn't have a lot of details about TGC, but he did say they had been working on some problems this morning but were still hoping to get TGC out later today or on Monday. I hope that happens!

                    I also just wanted to mention that the customer support guy was very helpful in resolving my account problem. It seems that we are quick to complain about SkyTrak support and slow to provide compliments when staff are helpful, so I wanted to be sure to send a positive comment SkyTrak's way.
