    So after getting back an iPad I had lent out for a while, I was able to pull the trigger on the blemished unit! Once a PC/Mac version comes out I will be switching to that. In the meantime, I have a couple of questions about the setup. My hitting bay is in my garage. I have a Monster Tee mat, but it has to sit on some plywood to be leveled because the garage floor is sloped to a drain in the middle of the floor (right under the mat actually). To that end, does the Skytrak unit need to be sitting at the same height as the top of the mat, or can it be a little lower?

    I'll assume your connected in network mode as obviously internet connectivity is required to sync. When you ran the app for the first time did you create an account with different credentials to the account you created on the Skytrak site when you purchased the Skytak? I did this and I read others have too and I couldn't ever sync apart from the 1st session on day 1. The fix for me was to uninstall the app then reinstall and enter the credentials I used when I purchased the Skytrak. After that, synced straight away. Good luck.

    The only other issue I've seen is a high % of unregistered shots, initially I thought it was lighting but thats been ruled out as it uses infrared. I'm now thinking its related to my mat - I removed the mat and hit shots and they were all picked up, put the mat back and again missed shots. My mat was cheap and I raised it with several layers of compressed foamboard to give some forgiveness - I suspect theres some small movement of the mat during the swing and thats enough to interfere with the ball as viewed by the cameras. I've ordered a new mat.

        Hi Mr. Hogan, Thanks for the reply. I followed your instructions and it Synced one club strike today. I don't know what happened to the rest. My mat moves a bit, but my device has only missed one or two swings in a couple of hundred shots. The range performance has been fantastic, maybe a little short,(maybe I'm a little short). I talked with Skytrak again today, they have an open ticket on it. Still waiting for a call back. I'm sure it will get worked out. For the money it's a good little LM. When they get the kinks worked out I think it will be a great LM.

          I've had to do the reinstall several times now as it would stop syncing again. My last reinstall was 4 days ago and its still syncing so keep trying.

        I hope Skytrak is working on it. I have hit several balls and I do not want to lose the data. I have several drivers and shafts,who doesn't? When I get lost in a session, if I forget to write down what club/shaft combo I had the data is useless. I believe that a multiple club setting would be a pretty easy programming fix? I'm getting way off the thread here.

          I would uninstall the Skytrak app and reinstall.....and then sign in and see what happens. Re-download off the App Store..... If you are connected to a wifi....your shots will most likely sync no problem. I had issues with the old app.....but the latest app is excellent with the sync. Again you need to be connected to wifi.

            Hey jon.summy I uninstalled and reinstalled for the 5th time.....It worked!!!!!! I'm Syncing. I lost all of my previous data but I don't care. I will have new data soon.

              Good news, hopefully it continues to sync..
              I've reinstalled several times now and after a while it stops again. The last few days the app is stuck in a loop trying to sync - yet the data is updating on the website so I can live with that, thats not worth a reinstall. Im no longer hitting shots in direct mode so im always connected via network mode.

                I have the same problem. Problem is that once the sync problem started again, it started having problems calculating ball flight. I did crank a 7 iron 650 yds soon after.

              Its back to uninstall/reinstall, lose your data, repeat. I need a 650 yard 7 iron!

                    Based on the above, should I not try to uninstall and reinstall to try to sync and just wait for SkyTrak to come out with fix on next release? Rather not be able to sync than potentially messing up the ball flight calculations.

                      I don't know anymore about the sync issues. I had it working, then lost 165 shots today. Then it synced 5 shots. I have contacted Skytrak via chat and phone been waiting a week for a call back? Hit 65 more shots, no sync. Just a response from them would be nice. Seth has replied on this site. The $99.00 annual fee seems a bit silly to sync to nothing.
