Goltec bills themselves as the 'leader in golf improvement'. Skytrak was becoming a major player in golf improvement. Golftec sought to eliminate an area of competition. Brace yourself for subscription price increases.

That last line is what I'm worried about. Or having them sign some sort of exclusive deal with one sim software that makes skytrak unusable with anything else. Hopefully I'm worried about nothing but still worrying nonetheless.

You're right on! #3 ain't happening, but #2 is actually a very good possibility. I totally love my SkyTrak, but if GolfTEC makes a business move that impacts my ongoing subscription fees or ability to use my preferred sim software, I will transition to different hardware.
I know almost nothing about GolfTEC, though, and am hoping this could actually turn out well for us, perhaps in the form of even better hardware in the future, better SkyTrak software, the ability to integrate golf lessons within the SkyTrak environment, etc. Here's hoping the positives far outweigh the negatives!

Uneekor would be my choice if they raise the yearly rates. TGC will transfer as well. It's a big investment up front but you can get measured club data.

I don't think much will change regards pricing.

If they up subscriptions people will go to mevo plus or eye mini or R10 dependant on their budgets. .

Rapsodo will launch something new soon maybe at the PGA show and R10 has been so successful for garmin that a second version must be in the works.

I think that mevo plus short indoor mode will improve with updates.

Skytrak 7 or 8 years old now, need to bring something new or better value.

Skytrak current Owners have done next to nothing to further develop this product since I've owned it the last few years and basically treated it as cash flow as far as I can see. Now that they've completely abandoned it hopefully the new Owners will take it to the next level.

I just did the upgrade and my SkyTrak has never ran so slow in Network mode, doing challenges. I hope this was a one off. The prescriptions are already too high, it better not change abs have poorer speed.

I upgraded several weeks ago and had no speed difference. I'll think you'll be okay.

I think the upgrade the above is referring to is the network change between the former skytrak exchange servers and the golftec one. They seem like they are experiencing many difficulties...I cannot login

I had to log in to Skytrak ver. 4.3. There I was prompted to change my password. I then received an email with a link to the website and a password reset. After changing the password, I can now log in to the website.

I also can not log in, support has also tried an can not. I have been told it has been escalated.

The new web pages are now much faster than the old ones.

One thing I noticed though is that the new web page is not laid out like the old one. I liked being able to go back through my old practice sessions and I don't see that anymore.

I'm up and running without any real issues. Waited a couple days once these problems started getting posted and deleted and reinstalled skytrak, got the 4.3 upgrade, new password and restarted everything as I normally would and I'm good to go.

Like OttawaP, I've been waiting a few days before getting my Skytrak/TGC2019 all set back up & running, especially after seeing others with so many issue & experiencing a few unanswered problems myself. (Having to reconnect in network mode every power off/on or getting lost looking for license files.)

I had a few questions:
Should i just uninstall the skytrak app & redownload it? Or do i just download & overwrite the existing files?
If i completely uninstall skytrak app will it affect my TGC connection license, or lose any info to connect?

I seen Anansi posted a step by step guide a few days ago is that still a good guide?

I also noticed this. SkyTrak_Jordan will the previous practice sessions be available on the website like it did on the old website?

That will come in the near future. All of your shot data is still being stored, just working on the new display portal.
