I have no idea and i refrain from speculating in the SkyGolf case.

What i do know from my consulting business is that a lot of companies do not have a clue regarding the financial impact on bad/good customer service. Most companies actually treats customer service as a cost center internally. And that is the difference between companies that just dont talk the talk but also walk the walk, in those companies customer service is a revenue center.

The cost center perspective is actually the norm in most engineer driven companies.

Since we're using Office Space references... it looks like some of us hold-outs might be able to give "Case of the Mondays" a very different meaning soon...

You boys are the strong ones here. If it wasn't for TGC and I had to wait another 3+ more months for sim play after how long we waited before, whew, I would have been getting really twitchy and short fused about it right now. I probably will give PG a go at some point down the road but I admire you guys for holding out for the one you wanted, stay strong!

Then what is it, because if a company can easily see that their Customer Service is so poor that it's costing them customers, and they still refuse to do anything about it, there must be some reason, what would it be?

What??? I was last on here about 2 months ago and was told it was in Beta then and would be released 'soon', so what's the hangup? Let me say this, I'm also interested in your SkyGolf Game Tracker with Linx GPS watch package, but every time I read reviews of poor customer service I leave the order page, and figure I'll wait another year, in hopes that bugs are corrected - now, I'm starting to wonder if they are ever corrected, and what exactly goes on at SkyGolf????

So basically you have no idea and no knowledge and is just speculating.
You really think Skytrak will be more prone to participate in these forums after comments like this.

And to be honest, in what world is TGC more expensive? All you have to do is contact them and ask politely for a deal and you will get one that is really competitive. I know, i did even though i haven't accepted that deal yet due to other reasons than price..

And if you plan on playing simgolf for more than 3 years its also less expensive.

What you are saying is that based on your preference PG is cheaper and that is not a universal truth at all.

I worked with product- and service releases depending on partnerships for more than a decade and believe me there is more than money that determines in which order you launch stuff.

With that said i think that SkyGolf handles their communication with us kind of poorly but that isnt the same as being greedy and just going for the big bucks.

All I know is... both games are seemingly ready to go, but only the more expensive one is on the market. Feel free to jump to your own conclusions.

Guest so you say that SkyTrak has some sort of kickback on software sales in addition to the 99 dollars they get from the game improvement package we have to buy to get the option to play TGC/PG?

And you also mean that the kickback is greater when we buy TGC compared to PG!?

They're just waiting for all the people who are on the fence between TGC and PG, to bite the bullet and buy the more expensive one. Once all those sales dry up, then they'll release the cheaper option.
Working...
