SkyTrak and WGT

Hi all,

I have seen many people asking about skytrak and WTG and it seems like that the people who are beta testing TGC and E6 have never
played or tested WTG. It seems like nobody in this forum has tested it. There is no videos ... nothing. But from what I keep hearing
skytrak is coming out with WTG first...? Is there anybody who has some more detailed info or talked to somebody who tested it ?
I'm only interested cause I'm pretty sure it will be the cheapest of all versions and to test it out it would be that big of an investment.
I own a skytrak since about 5 month and can't wait for course play. The problem is I'm on the road a lot so I will not be able to play
on a regular basis. That's why TGC ,even that it seems to be the best choice, doesn't make much sense if it's going to be a monthly
prescription. Really hope to get some infos or even videos about skytrak with WTG.

SkyTrak_Seth I got a low memory error when playing last night. I just hit cancel or something and it continued without issue. I think someone else may have also mentioned this. First time i've seen it.

This comes up at the none sim version a lot as well but always went on without a problem after "canceling"

Add an access point and don't use extenders. Extenders reduce wifi bandwidth and speed by up to 50%.

FWIW - I've been using a Netgear extender without issue so I can reach my outdoor hitting location. The wifi perf hit is real, but I haven't experienced any noticeable difference in Skytrak performance. I do have a different network name for the extended network portion, the default setup for that extender (ex. "networkname_ext"). HTH

Yeah, I don't think the low memory thing is related to SkyTrak.

You can definitely use an extender (repeater) with SkyTrak.

Does WGT and Skytrak allow to play four local players and not require online play. Really hoping you can have your friends come over and all play together. To me that's a make or break deal with having a golf simulator. Somebody tell me the good news I want to hear

Another reason I held off purchasing Mike, as I agree its an absolute deal breaker for me too. Play more live with my brother than I do online,. I sort of gave up hoping for answers really so just decided to wait and see Im hoping by mid November all the options will be out being used and can then confidently pull the trigger and get back on Tour this winter

I'd really like to see a feature where you could "offset" your stance. So, if you have a narrower setup like mine, you could be looking right down your target line on the right side of your projector.

That would be a good idea. I didn't realize that when this when I was building my setup. I have a 18' wide room and thought that would be plenty, but my mat is 6 inches to the right of the ball on my screen.

Nice find...200 bucks a year to play 10 courses....have to see what e6 and TGC pricing to make a comparison....5 years of that equals TGC purchase price if it's say 1000 for full purchase..will have to wait and see

I think technically, it's only $100. I think you already will have to pay $100 for the game improvement per year.

So just wondering about something. Since wgt came out a couple weeks ago to play with the Skytrak. How many guys still use the wgt? How many got bored of it already?

WGT didn't come a couple of weeks ago as it is yet to be released. A playable demo with limited functionality where you can't even play an entire hole and where there is no putting or other features, came out a couple of weeks ago. I'm not using it much as I'm more focused on improving my game and use the ST driving range, however I'd have definitely used it more by now if I could have played an entire round.

When WGT is released PC based will the native resolution be 16:9 or 4:3? I know IPAD via HDMI is currently 4:3 and I am trying to look forward for a projector screen size.
