If you guys can keep the feedback constructive and not "WGT sucks" and "SkyTrak ruined Christmas", please keep it in here. It really does help, as this thread is monitored by both sides.

WGT doesn't suck, it's just not what the demo is. The demo (9 hole closest to the pin) is completely different in functionality that the full version. That's all most of us have posted here. Our legitimate feedback to a product that we paid for. It's not like we are ripping on something that's in BETA. This is full fledged release.

I'm ok for $100 with no try before you buy, it's a green fee, that's it. But it's also our responsability to share the downsides to a product too.

There are no companies out there without WARTS. The key to a successful company is one who EMBRACES their WARTS and doesn't pretend that they aren't there. Embrace SkyTrak_Seth , there's no shame in having warts.

I do agree people should take all comments in this forum constructively as opposed to personally. This will make SkyTrak better for all.

I just had an example of even though I do love my SkyTrak (despite it's nominal customer service), I did not recommend to my father-in-law and recommended something else. Because at his age I don't think he can handle the beta-ness (pardon my use of this word for lack of a better word) of the software - I don't think he can handle all the uninstall/reinstall, resetting unit, mucking around between direct and network modes, having to change SSID, address or password of his wifi, or try to get sync to work fully or get scared his battery is dying (even though it probably is not). Any problems he will not be able to get good support and will be calling me all day long. So I recommended Japan's SkyTrak to him (since he's in China) and he got it up working right away, has local support he can call for help on anything and he's loving his Japan SkyTrak now (even thinking about buying their 20-course sim software).

I wouldn't be active on this forum if I didn't embrace our warts and actively try to fix them. My point is that there are a select few who whenever they see a problem, no matter how big or small, they fly off the handle posting negative rants in thread after thread, whether related to the problem or not. All I ask is that you give me a level and clear description of the problem, and I will do my best to resolve it.

WGT does seem a little bait and switch. Maybe it's more like some movie trailers. Sure looks good in parts, but then it turns out they showed all the good parts in the trailer and the rest doesn't quite measure up,. Still for $100 it's worth it. Maybe won't be worth a second year once the competitors release, but at the price point maybe it will be.

I just made another attempt to chat with sky golf support about the missing 100$ off coupon emails. The first time I chatted with them (around 10/22), I was told I'd get the email that day (it never happened). This time the story changed. After explaining my understanding of the situation to the support rep, I got:

"Nope. Please note the $100 off is now applicable for the link I have given, The actual price is $299.95 and now with the $100.00 off you will get the Game Improvement package for $199.95"

So I'm not sure if the story really has changed or just this support rep is confused. The real problem here is not knowing. Am I now weighing 200$ WGT vs waiting on TGC or E6. I don't even know the answer. The irony is that, had I known all this 2 weeks ago, I *might* have just paid the 200$. At this point, I'm thinking of waiting.

It sounds like the issue may be with Skytrak since all apps are seeing a similar issue. Have you contacted their support team?

As for your auto putt issue, it was closed because as far as the issue goes, we have all the information we need from you and the issue is now with our engineers. This does not mean the issue is solved or forgotten. Just that we are closing it since we no longer need information.

When did you buy your game improvement package? Have you already spent the $99?

yea, when I bought the Skytrak early this year. So I guess it won't matter that much really, since that would be expiring soon anyway? I'm not sure how this is supposed to work, since I doubt anything would be prorated.

Your getting hosed then. You should be able to add WGT for only $99.00 - at least that is my belief.

I got my GIP in April 2015. Was sent the $100 off code to upgrade/add WGT. Try pm'ing SkyTrak_Seth, I don't want to speak on his behalf (LOL!!) but he should be able to help you. Good Luck.

The idea was to link your GIP and WGT start dates. So users were given coupons based on length of ownership of GIP. If you mean earlier this year like Jan, then that may be why. But send me a PM with your name, serial number, email, and data of purchase and I'll get you sorted.

Enjoyed playing 18 at Chambers Bay last night. I just use Autoputt and shot 92. I didn't realize you can change your aim points on the Ipad screen until half way through the round. As long as you just try and hit straight, then the angles don't really matter IMO.

I enjoyed playing 18 in my pj's over the weekend. I had a case of the hooks and had a nice cool down session at the range to work out the kinks before turning in for the night. :-)

After a single round it really doesn't bother me. I just know that each shot I need to hit it straight and I work on my yardages. However, if you are trying to hook the ball around a tree or something, then it would be hard from the angle given.

Had another "funny" autotap issue last night. First Putt missed but ended up right next to the hole. Second autoputt went in. I've now seen a few autoputts go in. It just appears that they are being hit about 20 feet too hard but will occasionally fall if lucky. Seems like this would be an easy fix, but i'm not a developer...

I am about to pull the trigger on the Skytrak and the playing package but imy a lefty and have been reading there are some issues with playing coarse so and getting correct trajectory tory being a lefty. Can someone elaborate on this. Should I wait? Please post of you've had good or bad luck as a lefty. Thanks

First off, I'm a lefty, had my skytrak since April and it's great. They are just lacking full course multi-player simulation game play.

I'm a lefty as well, works well and no different than a rightie. Pre purchased a year ago and built a man cave to house it and call it home. I, like everyone else, have been frustrated as all get out over the fumbled release as well as the cluster &*$% with Sim release but am hoping the future is bright.

Now that the weather has turned south and courses are closed I use it almost everyday in some way shape or form. I'm hoping somebody comes up with some sort of ingenious device to be able to play righties/lefties easily. Looking forward to swinging the club all winter!
