SkyTrak v2.1 PC Release

Ok I'm confused. If I don't have wifi on the pc the unit is plugged into will it work? My config is as follows. Windows 7 PC hard wired into my network with the skytrak plugged directly into the PC via a micro usb data cable. I can't get the unit to connect when the app is opened. iPad still works fine but nothing on PC. Do I have to run everything through the wifi?

I plug the SkyTrak in via USB to my laptop and start up the SkyTrak v2.1 software and when it is at the screen where it shows your SkyTrakis not connected, I power on the SkyTrak. It then takes maybe 2-3 seconds and the connected light turns on and then the laser for ball placement. I haven't tried connecting it to the laptop via WiFi.

Same with E6 demo by the way, although I turn the SkyTrak on and then immediately launch E6. I think you have a set period of time (1-2 minutes?) before the SkyTrak/software gives up trying to connect and you have to start the process over.

So I know I can maximize the window, but is there anyway to go full screen without the windows border? I tried playing around with it for the first time last night and couldn't find an option for that. Distances seem more in line from testing. Definitely look forward to more improvements down the road.

Alt-Enter will go full screen.

Can you then exit the app when doing this? I couldn't figure out how when i did this last time. Now i just leave the windows border.

Alt f4 should force close the app, but if you hit alt enter again would it go back to maximized? I'll try it later hopefully.

Yes..Alt-Enter toggles fullscreen on/off.

I'm left handed using the 2.1 software. The problem is that about 50% of the time the laser doesn't switch. I have to turn sky track off and back on for it to work. Any suggestions.?.

Jimsol, are you in the PC app and the laser shuts off? Do you get top light red and 2 green lights?

Yes I'm using the PC app. It may work for a couple hits then it will go red and it will either come back right handed or with 2 laser lights or not at all. I need to shut it off Need to re start sky track and start over. I found this happens also if I'm trying to use WGT on my IPad too.

I had the same problem with my other computer. It was a Win 10 with a crappy video card. I'd get 2 shots then top red light of death.

When you run E6 do you get about a 5 second delay? What ipad do you have? Is it on the recommended list?

Is there any way to change the resolution that skytrak starts up in? it is wanting to use a large screen resolution that does not even work. It starts fine but then switches to something like 2102x768 and is not even view able. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice with the same results.

I don't believe that skytrak changes your resolution.......I could be wrong, but that's something your PC is probably doing.

It is only the skytrak program that is showing in this resolution, the other programs are fine, and the computer's resolution is not being changed just the skytrak program. I will try to get some screen shots later and post, or a video of the startup, but its weird.

I have the IPAD air 2. It's OK a little choppy at times. Think my windows 10 tablet is faster and seems to be more reliable. Hopefully once the 2.1 for the IPAD comes out it will be as good as my PC

Known Issues
- Depending on your resolution, you may notice that the total distance reading is slightly out of place. This will resolve itself after your first shot.

2.1 and my skytrak work perfect. on my asus i3, and works on e6 .. numbers are spot on to what i see at the course throughout all clubs... dont let the johnny cash- cry cry cryers sway you. this thing is the real deal and i couldnt be happier.

But can you chip though? Go to the practice range put a ball in the fringe and chip it less than 20 feet, good luck

are you setting your profile up to be left handed??????????? im left handed and ive put ST through its paces and its roses over here.

I did setup the profile for left handed.. I was informed from Skytrak the this problem for leftys is a know bug and is suppose to have been corrected in the upcoming 2.1.1 releases for the PC and IPad. Hope that is true, so right now I'm going to patiently wait for the newest releases.. thanks for your input
