Cold yes! But it got everyone's attention!
Just received my new gaming laptop and couldn't wait to try E6 on a speedier computer. Large disappointment to say the least. Delay wasn't bad but I've never seen a ball move so slowly on the screen and the putting chipping........well.......we all know about that. I found it completely unplayable. I know I'm in the minority but much prefer WGT even with the quirky side ball views etc..
Bring on something decent please!!!!! Unless something changes from within I'm not in the market for E6.

What made it unplayable? What framerate you getting? I also see no issue with ball flight, but I have a gtx980 and fps is over 100.
I think chipping is fine except under 15mph, but putting is tough/impossible. They need to put an allowable error on the putting.

Do you have your graphics card set to primary, or did it default to onboard graphics processing?

I am no computer guru so I'm not exactly sure on the graphics issue, I could be in huge error here?
I just received my new Alienware laptop-i7 with 980M graphics card. I didn't do anything when I tried out E6, just started program and played. The ball flight times were unbelievably slow but will do some searching on the graphics end and see if things look better.

Yes, sounds like what TorchRedRob said, it may be using the onboard Graphics rather than the dedicated. In your NVidia settings there are probably some settings where you can force apps to use a particular graphics card. (Onboard or dedicated) or you just don't have any Nvidia drivers installed.

So much for Alienware set-up out of the box. Sure sounds like a graphics set-up issue, using onboard graphics instead of the 980M. Pretty cheesy for this price category. It's a gaming laptop. The user shouldn't have to be switching the graphics on or installing drivers.Last edited by aja; 12-22-2015, 03:37 PM.

Lots of people seem to have this issue. The Dell site has quite a few people with the same problem. Here's two possible answers:
AndMake sure you have the latest nVidia and Intel drivers installed. I noticed the same issue on my 15 when I got it, but resolved as soon as I updated. I suggest you install the Intel drivers first, then the nVidia drivers. Not sure if if really matters, but that is what I did and it works like a charm.
Go to the NVidia driver in the system tray
Select manage 3D settings
In the global Tab select the nvidia Graphics card as your preffered graphics processor
Click apply
Select set PhysX configuration
Select the NVidia graphics card
Click apply
