Skytrak and TGC - no backspin

    Hello guys.
I m a scratch player and normally have backspin on my irons.
In tgc my wedges bounce straight forward and rolling about 5-10 metres.
Is it normal? Can i change it with the settings conf?
    Regards philip

My lob wedge is around 11,000. 8,000 is an 8 iron spin for me too. And I don't back up 8 irons.

Was this on first tourney at NGLA course because it's set up very hard and others have reported weird spin conditions too.

I recommend to test on a perfect flat putting green. Search in courses for: flat putting

Range 2 ProTee SFR has a really big flat putting green to the right of the tee.

i get a new mat because the actual mat robs about 2000 rpm.

is there a documentation which settings you can modificate?

I am starting to notice this as well, now granted I'm still a "relatively new" player, so I'm just starting to really take a hard look at my short game (Been practicing irons and longer clubs much more). I got a brand new cleveland 50 degree and have a cleveland 56 degree and either on SkyTrak app/TGC (should be same numbers) my backspin is no more then 3500. This may be due to technique, my mat, a little bit of both, or maybe the skytrak? I don't know, either way I'll be trying to figure this out soon.

There was a test done that showed about a 2k reduction in spin on a CCE mat vs grass. People will argue both sides.

                        Just my personal experience.
I have a CCE and have what I consider good spin #'s with wedges from 100 yards and in. If I am catching the ball first lowish on the face not sure how the mat would really be much of a factor. A lot of this comes down to technique. If you catch it fat on a CCE you will know. Spin goes down & ball speed falls off.
