Thanks for the feedback all. We are still up against some compatibility issues between the iOS updates and Unity 3D. If possible, let me know what iPad model you are using and also iOS version if you are still having trouble. We're trying to get everything sorted with iOS 10 and think we're about there.

Brace33 - thanks for the tip. Have tried this and after a bit of messing around, resetting the unit etc, I was able to reset the network credentials and get Network connectivity to Wifi. Will find out for real when I test at the weekend, when I run in Direct mode. I'm guessing the theory is that if the network credentials for network mode are screwed, it may mess up any wifi connectivity overall (even in Direct mode) - it seems to be the only plausible explanation if there no one else has app related issues. Will give it go.Comment

The release notes say "- All greens in the app are now mapped to a “Green” ground condition independent from the user-set “Range” ground condition"
Does this mean the greens have a fixed firmness that is independent from the user setting for the fairway? If so, what condition is the green set to?

Closes during startup. Windows 7 64 bit inspiron laptop. Reinstall 5.1 and works fine.Comment

Have no real issues running it on a laptop with Win 10 installed. Still the odd annoying missed shot - a few more than I remember experiencing in previous versions. No - my indoor practice areas has not changed at all. But other than the missed shots - seems stable.Comment

I think you are reading this correctly. I have noticed spin & decent angle taking more effect on the greens. My guess is set to the old "Normal". My SkyTrak can chime in.Originally posted by jaus View Post

That is correct. Greens have their own setting (which is softer ground but with less rolling resistance) from the user-selected setting for the fairway. We may look at adding user-selectable green conditions down the road if the demand is there. For now though, this just means you can set the range to whatever you prefer without having to worry about it negatively affecting the green performance...particularly if you are doing a skills assessment.Comment

Not sure the latest release has bug or not. My SkyTrak suddenly stopped sending data to the app on Sunday. It was on the latest release. The unit can detect the shots, no data is displayed in the app. direct or network mode, the same issue. Also WGT can detect the shots, "calculating...", after a while says "unregistered". Only happed after Oct 23, 2016. Re-istalled app. no use. I would appreciate any help to fix it. thanksComment

Haven't heard anything like that for this release. And the fact that it happens in both apps leaves me to believe it's either something setup-related or hardware. Given that you were using it before fine, then maybe it's something with hardware. Have you cleaned the window? Using fresh white golf balls?

I wouldn't think that my driver speed is above average. I'm only around 100mph average. That said - according to Skytrak - and this is backed up in on course results as well. My carry distance is around 225 to 230m (250 - 256yards) with roll out to around 250-260m. (278 - 289 yards) using a B330RX ball and a Yonex Ti driver head and custom shaft. My swing speed isn't fast, but I've custom built my driver with the right shaft and swing weight/bend profile so that I more easily hit the middle of the face with optimised launch angles etc.
My swing speed with the fairway woods is high 90's mph while my irons are around 88-90mph.
I have a black background behind me as well as I noticed this made a difference to Skytrak - it didn't like lighter colours in the background.
I've also drawn a black vertical line on the ball with a permanent marker and face that at the skytrak cameras - which I found also enhances the accuracy and drops the number of missed shots

Found one problem today. Using the practice greens. In the replay, the ball hit the green and held it - stayed on the green. But looking at the right side of the screen, the tracer shows that the ball went over the green.
Distances are fine with metres, but it looks like the graphic of the green in the right side tracer screen that shows offline distance has the green maybe still in yards?
tried other clubs and other distances - same problem.

Also, noticed that in the skills assessment. Distance is metres, but the Column heading still reads Yardage.. Yeah, I realise it is just text, but would be nice to have it automatically changed to Metres or Yardage depending on which is chosen. Or maybe just change it to something generic - like "Distance" instead.Comment

One request I have for you next update is to allow hits while skytrak is in alignment mode. It would be a great training tool to correct our swing path. I developed an exaggerated hook/draw and will take some practice swings while in alignment mode which improves my shot once I go back to regular mode.My courses:

I think drives with low launch angles don't necessarily get the benefit of good roll out with the new driving range. Carry numbers do seem a bit too stingy when compared to a higher launched shot. When I switch out to a TGC driving range the numbers seem to get the benefit of more roll.Comment
