Looks Great! I think you have the right idea with moving one leg to the back of the unit. To help on costs I would suggest switching out the leveling feet to plastic knurled thumb screws. These are basically the same ones that are used on the skytrak case. You would just need to tap 1/4"-20 holes instead of using a through hole + nut/washer.

Most people prefer to not have their skytrak on the same mat they hit off (causes more misreads?) so I think the adjustable feet are a good feature to keep.

I get them from McMaster: https://www.mcmaster.com/#thumb-screws/=15hwl7r

Fortunately, I get the levelers 30,000 at a time, pretty cheap. that being said, they are not long enough for some...too thin to tap the metal - used a rivet nut insert, may go down to 1/4 or 5/16 - i was thinking a long bolt with a nipple cap would be cheap and strong - with a jam nut to hold it and take out the wobble.

Nice! If you're already getting them bulk then I would definitely stick with the ones you have. They look great and they're sturdy.

If you start doing this, you could have the kid start his own customizations added to the box. Something he likes doing and can make money at it. Win for everyone. Seriously, have you seen the customizing on wedges and putters people will pay for that stuff. I'll have to admit, i did the same on my cameron and edel putters.

Just cleaning up after a party at my house last night. Must have had 25 different people whacking away in my sim during the party. I was only down watching for about 2% of the time but I'm happy to report that: 1) unit is still working, 2) nobody complained of non-reads. Biggest problem solved - what to do when hard-drinking non-golfers step up to the plate )))

Yes please let me know the price to buy one. Have many kids in our program that it just makes me nervous for them to use.

I am definitely in for one. The prototype already looks great so I'm sure the finished product will be awesome. It's sad Skytrak doesn't offer quality protection so thank you for stepping up to fill this need!

Please consider placing one additional hole in the bottom of the plate so that if someone wanted to lock their case with a Kensington lock they could do so! Just thinking of trying to use the Skytrak in a more commercial setting so having the additional hole may allow us to secure it with aircraft cable or such. Just a thought

Yeah, need to put a back door and top on it with a hinge - pretty straightforward - the lock could attach it to the cable, and keep it shut. Maybe a gull--wing door off the top??

Just think that you would want to keep the device secured in a public venue where people may want to steal it (Think Virtual Golf Centers). However we could lock the Skytrak in and or chain it down is the direction I would love to see.

If it had a Kennsington slot and it was attached with four security torx screws to the bottom, do you think that would do it?
                  Working...
