  • Trackman Virtual Golf

Anyone have any issues with Trackman virtual golf.
All shots go extreme right or left just before ball lands.
This is a new golf sim room, very strange, possibly Trackman monitor is too close to screen which is about 10 foot from screen.
    Anyone have this problem before?

The ball is ending up where it should end up. TM has VG2 set up such that the ball flight happens as soon as you hit the ball using the initial data parameters it gets (launch, speed and direction I think), then during flight it updates the flight path for all the other calculations that it has completed and the ball flight is adjusted.

some have asked for the option of this to be turned off and have a second delay before the ball flight is shown on screen, but I don’t believe TM has offered this yet. Might be worth a call or not to support if this is important to you. This only happens on the virtual golf side of things, including the virtual driving range that they built (the one with with distances to pins etc.)

I have tested with a GCQuad and straight shots are going right and left in Trackman virtual golf so looks like an issue with the software, there is a second delay when I hit a shot.
Trackman range etc is fine only happens on the virtual courses, looks like a fault with the virtual golf possibly, I find courses are not playable.

I don't have this issue, have you tried callingsupport to compare your results? I have not heard from anyone before complaining that VG is not playable.

If the range is working fine I’m not sure why there would be issues in VG. Do you have an iPad or iPhone? If you connect a second device in viewer mode you can get all the normal data tiles to see the raw data.

I’m guessing you’re seeing this on many/most shots so this is a long shot but are these tee shots or approach shots? We find VG is super punitive on side hill lies and if you’re on a side hill you have to aim miles offline to allow for it. We often see cuts on the iPad viewer data turn in to huge hooks because of side hill.

Agree that side-hill lie effect in VG is excessive - wish they would tone that down.

I’ve contacted Trackman support to see what is going on as this is a newly installed system.
Hard to know what the issue is as it’s a brand new system.
Will post back here after Trackman look at it.

This is probably my biggest annoyance with VG2 - the abrupt mid-flight changes to ball curvature, once TM has the spin axis figured out. Doesn't look natural off the club. Surprised that TM hasn't been able to speed up the necessary calculations.
