Any folks out there using a Trackman for simulation? Probably plenty of teaching pros using one for launch and club data. http://trackmangolf.com

I hope this works, but the following is a link to a document that describes some tips for ensuring a TM is set up properly indoors.

I have been working on opening an indoor golf entertainment facility for a few years and have been a faithful follower of all threads in this forum. After much consideration and waiting for the E6 upgrade I have decided to go with Trackman with the Trugolf putting board. I have been to a few different facilities with a similar setup and I must say Trackman simulation has been my favorite simulator setup. One great feature is you can play your round of golf via the connected PC and simultaneously track all of your shot data via the Trackman app on your Ipad. One issue with Trackman was the lack of putting and very short chips. As most of you know you could putt with the Trugolf putt board, but could not chip if shot was less then 3 meters. Yesterday Trackman confirmed a patch available today that will allow you to chip off the Trugolf putting board taking care of any short game issues.
Dax, you seem to have the most experience with the Trackman simulator and was wondering what issues are most common for you when playing. Also, if possible I would love to see some videos of you playing.
Thanks,

Should work for you Mantis. My son just finished a Trackman lesson with our local pro. He has been hitting indoors all winter and this was the first session outdoors this year. Outdoors it's the King. There is definity a difference indoors vs outdoors with the Trackman. It is very, very accurate outdoors. With the Trugolf pad you should be fine for putts. How does it measure chipping launch angle an horizontal azumuth? Where ar you opening your indoor center Mantis?

Great question Bubba22. I'm gonna assume that it can't read the launch angle. I'll find out and get back to you. We'll be in central Iowa if we get this up and running. Met with the general contractors last week and now just waiting for build estimates.Originally posted by Bubba22 View PostHow does it measure chipping launch angle an horizontal azumuth? One thing to consider from a customer point of view. I have been to a couple clubfitting places with trackman. Since the trackman has to sit a certain distance people are always bumping in to them and have to be re calibrated.
In a club fitting center it is easier to manage, But in a indoor golf center where there is a lot of traffic I can foresee the units getting bumped a lot. Just some food for thought, as I don't know if you have thought about it.

Just rec'd an email from TM. Looks like they are just releasing version 4 of their TPS software and it is free for all versions of TM regardless of subscription status. It will include a cloud based tour player library where one can compare swings and Data from the pros.

is it a technical thing or a commercial thing? thxOriginally posted by ProTee United View PostSorry, Trackman will not have TGC integration.http://www.24-7.golf
