  • Did they fix the spin yet?

I am enjoying the demo, I put it on 10 stimp thinking it may help curb the spin problem but man, Here are a few balls I had today. one had 10+k spin and the other 2 under 7k.. can someone get in their ear about the issue?

I have more spin then that at 10 stimp. Hopefully it will be resolved in next update.

What's it bring you all the way back into the fairway ? Lol.. they need to fix this issue, it's really holding the game back IMO. I am really enjoying the demo. I love the different chipping distance ranges and the1 course I have plays good. I'm getting the hang of the speed at 10 stimp now putting with 5 foot gimmies. Shot a 4 under on that Aviara course this morning. Wish it was a yearly sub for uneekor and others, I can't afford $2500 but I'd buy it at 600 a year for a year to try all the courses out.

I hit on e6 connect today
the pitching over the wood pile seamed ok
i was flopping over the wood with a borrowed 56
ball seamed to be reacting properly
spinning back 10 12 feet on flops
    and releasing on lower pitch’s

I seem to spin mine off the greens a lot.

My spin on greens seems perfect to me and pretty much matches what I see IRL. I'm using the Mevo+, with E6 Connect (PC) set to 8 stimp and moderate green firmness. 75-80 yard sand wedges with 8K spin and 30 deg launch take a couple hops forward then spin back 3-4 feet, with about 2-3 yards total roll-out. Here's a video of a 78 yd carry, 81 yd total sand wedge with 8,333 spin and 29 deg launch:

My 160 yd 8-irons with 6.5-7K spin and 22 deg launch take a couple of hops then spin back about 1-2 feet, with about 3-4 yards total roll-out.

Im.not sure what firmness the demo offers. Those shots I hit were on 10 stimp They spun back way too much. I get a few feet of spin back IRL but nothing close to that much

          That shot looked good though

ID:	244203 got this email after asking support about elevation and the spin issue. Doesn't make sense to me about them not being able to adjust the spin, even if the LM are sending the data direct, it has nothing to do with how the ball actually reacts inside E6. that's on their end. would also be nice to have the elevation working. teeing off on a course 5000 above sea level would be fun.

This doesn't make sense. Isn't their software just receiving the shot data? If so, then they should be controlling the ball physics in their software. It's the same with skytrak, i don't know how it's been reported that they are using skytraks ball flight physics. How can they be using everyone else's flight model?

yeah it makes zero sense to me. I sent another message asking that exact question

They are definitely using the complete ball flight model from ST and Mevo+ - I've triple-checked that with higher-ups at TruGolf. Not sure about Uneekor.

They take the mathematical representation of the ball flight from the LM (think of a bezier curve in 3D space), and only alter it when it hits an object or the ground.

This was confirmed years ago on e6, by Jeremy from Truegolf. He noted that for Trackman the entire ball flight is calculated by TM ball algorithms. This data is then sent to e6 which takes the trajectory into their software up until the point where it collides within their world and then e6 takes over. He also noted that each manufacturer is different and that most send the initial ball data and launch parameters to Truegolfs software and e6 generates the entire simulation using e6’s ballflght and collision systems. He also noted that some hardware is able to send more information than personal which allows for a more realistic ball flight.

That’s interesting. From what I’ve read I didn’t think the skytrak had any internal software that processed a ball flight algorithm. I thought it only sent ball measured values out.

The SkyTrak hardware doesn't have any internal software that models ball flight. They're using the Rapsodo SDK software, which runs on the PC or device, to get the ST ball flight (just like the SkyTrak app does).
