Yep I just talked to Trugolf Friday. Basically E6(with 1.6) is now $4500. Or $3000 with a $25 monthy subscription.

Who are they targeting with this pricing structure? Why would skytrak go with them if they are marketing themselves as an affordable launch monitor and I would assume trying to take market share from foresight. This makes the purchase of skytrak and truegolf software too close to the price of GC2 with protee software. You are now also at about same price of the protee system itself. Makes no sense.

^ What he said and in the famous line from Jerry Maguire, E6 "You lost me at $3000" or was it something else.

Shocked at pricing. After reading for months that e6 will be subscription based at 25 dollars they now want 3000 upfront as well! I'm sorry but this is just pure greed. I was looking at skytrak + e6 for a low cost sim package, software being over TWICE cost of hardware is ridiculous.

I understand that there is a limited market, so software prices have to be higher than say PC games to cover development costs. Subscription of 25 dollars would already make it around 10 times as much based on a year subscription compared to PC games. If they had to double that to 50 dollars per month again could see people paying that, which would work out at 600 dollars per year.

The high price of software is now going to limit the market instead of high price of launch monitors.

100 percent not going to buy a skytrak now, when before based on e6 subscription and low price of LM I was definitely going to get one, even was considering importing one as currently unavailable to UK.

Just so im not picking on e6, TGC again is a high price, 2000 dollars (through protee) and this is the exact same game as PC. I know that they had to link the LM numbers and feed them into the game, but does that really add 1980 dollars to the price.

Just seems that they are trying to milk as much from software prices that they feel they can, and then blaming limited market, which in turn is going to be limited because of the massive prices.

Oh well, not a big loss. I really would rather be using TGC in my business anyway. I was just willing to pay for E6 in the mean time for the extra features it has until similar features get implemented into TGC. Now I'll just wait instead of paying $12,000 + $375/month for the upgrade. That's just ridiculous. They're going to charge indoor golf centers $150 per month for the first sim and something like $75 per month for any other sims. I could deal with the monthly fee, but not the $3000 per sim on top of that. Doesn't make good business sense for me.

I need to correct on you this slightly. The price for TGC has not been published yet. The $2000 your paying for ProTee software is for ProTee Golf 2.0 only. ProTee software owners will receive a copy of TGC for free, as a service.

Ok, just spoke with Trugolf. The software cost is $25 per month for home users with no need to buy the software. The commercial cost is $150 per month. There will be a time limitation for home users however at 20-30 hrs per month. Hope this clears things up.

Heh, nice roller coaster. For $25 a month, I'm sure I'll get some months out of it. If there is any upfront cost more than say $50-100... nope not interested. Hopefully Bubba's source is correct!

Thank you for contacting TruGolf Bubba and getting a clearer idea of costs. Nothing like Chinese whispers

The above sounds sooooo much better

Hey Guys, I'm the Salesman at TruGolf that Bubba talked to this morning. There is no requirement to own E6 to take part in E6 Cloud. The Pricing that we are working with, not concrete, is $25/month for residences and $150/month (+$75/additional units) for Commercial Centers. Features of the two levels will be released in the future as we finalize contracts and agreements with all our buisiness/hardware partners involved. Check out our link below if you want a better idea of what you get with E6 Cloud.

                          Trugolf,

Thanks for clearing that up. While you're here, could you also tell us if e6 or e6 cloud will allow online turn based multiplay? That's where you see the other player hit his shot.

Well this is certainly much better news. Thanks for coming on and clearing things up. I hope skytrak is going to be ready sooner rather than later.

Glad you guys were able to straighten that out. I'm back to being a potential Skytrak buyer again. Haha. I am a little concerned with a possible 20 hour/month usage cap though. That equates to a little under 5 hours per week of usage. That's not very much. 30 hours/month sounds a little better at 7 hours or so a week.
