  • All-in-One (AIO) Computer?

I am not a tech guy, I live in excel and that is about it so please excuse my naive question. Can an All-in-one computer system be built with sufficient specs to play TGC, E6, etc on a launch monitor? It would be nice to have an AIO wall mounted instead of a PC that sits in a case then feeds a monitor.

Is it a cooling issue, cost issue, inability to fit the hardware, etc that makes it so rare to see a gaming AIO unit?

    Thanks

Question about the AMD compatibility comment. I have seen that others besides Uneekor say Intel only, do you know why this might be? AMD has made massive strides and are really sitting second to noone right now but I would hate to have issues with TGC along with whichever Launch Monitor/Sim I choose.
Is this in reference to the CPU or GPU? Because you listed Intel and AMD, I assume you mean CPU. Generally, pc requirements are listed with intel specifications. This is just because of the position that intel have got themselves as the standard, going back creating PC CPUs for many years. It doesn't mean that ithe software only works on Intel chips.

There is an exception to this is, when compiling software, it is possible that they have used the Intel c++ compiler, in which case, the software would only run on an Intel CPU. However, it is highly unlikely that they would have done this. That would only be done in highly specialised environments that require the CPU optimisations that can only be provided by compiling to a specific CPU. In this environment, that is not required, so they would have compiled the software to target a CPU architecture, which would be x64. That supports both AMD and Intel chips, hence why AMD based systems will be 100% compatible.

Unfortunately, not entirely true... Uneekor is not compatible with AMD.I was able to reach out and communicate with one of their product engineers/support. He stated that actually some AMD CPU's were compatible, however because there was not 100% compatibility, like Intel, they wanted to make sure their customers didn't experience any headaches if they said "some AMD CPU's are compatible"

The Eye XO is AMD compatible, so that is a sign of progress

I've never heard of software that targeted a CPU architecture, that didn't work with modern CPUs of that architecture. Sure a really old CPU might be missing some instructions, but the compiler normally takes care of that. Something sounds a bit odd there...

I am not a tech guy and will never pretend to be. My reference was that certain units said "AMD not recommended" (or similar wording) and that made no sense to me. But after reading through this site more and more it is becoming clear that the instances where AMD is incompatible is rare.

Can you run TGC2019 off a touchscreen? I've heard you need a keyboard? I am buying parts for my sim now... so trying to make a decision on how to proceed for the touchscreen look.

Based upon post on the forum I assume it works just fine. See links below:

I do think a control such as the ones in the link below would be a good addition as well
