  • Anyone use a touchscreen monitor?

I was thinking of adding any monitor since right now I just have the pc hooked up to the projector. I was wondering if anyone used a touchscreen type monitor or if you use a regular monitor along with some sort of wifi mouse to make adjustments while playing.

I use a wireless keyboard mouse from eBay China. They are like 20 bucks. I have this one. It fits in my pocket while I play, is Bluetooth amd cheaper than a touch screen.

Touch screen monitor. Acer 232HL. Touch screens are generally what most commercial installs use.

You don't have to have this for GC2... It's more for controlling TGC, the sim software.

Just be aware that TGC doesn't work with touch screen monitors. You'll need keyboard/mouse to use it. The wireless/bluetooth ones work well though.

How does TGC not work with touch screens? Mine works.

Thanks! I picked up a keyboard/mouse combo on Amazon. Maybe in the future tgc will add something like that..

No video to show. Touchscreens "work" with TGC, but as you point out there are limitations caused by the fact that TGC doesn't give you "on screen" options to invoke.

The touchscreen is effective only to invoke the controls that are available on the display, of which there are, unfortunately, only a few.

I have been subtly and not so subtly pointing this out to ProTee and hoping that they take notice.

In the meantime, with the guidance of a more knowledgeable forum member I am developing an onscreen interface - picture attached. You can consider it an add-on to the current TGC

To not have the ability to control TGC from a touchscreen is a serious shortcoming which should be fixed.

What resolution are you using for TGC? Also, do you run it in "windowed" mode?

I'm designing this for my resolution which is 1024 x 768 but it can be adjusted to suit other images.

I use a touchscreen monitor too.
Works perfectly in FSX and works for most things in TGC.
