So, thanks to help on this forum and elsewhere, i built my enclosure and got my screen hung this evening. I used one if the supertex screens due to their reasonable price, good reviews, and i liked the idea if the hanging method....
However, now that its hung, I'm getting more rebound than i expected. I attached a pic if my setup... from 9 feet away, it bounces back to me with an 8iron... not faster than i can react to it, but with more force than i expected.... i don't have it tight at all... actually, there's really almost no tightening... straps on sides and bottom are completely loose...
I also hung a moving blanket behind the screen.... i originally bungeed it like i had read on here, but it seems to me like that would just help the rebound versus if it were loose and soaked up the impact.... under both methods the ball bounced back similarly ......
I will admit that with 6 hits i have about 4 holes in the moving blanked, so i got what i paid for (it was cheap)...
So, what have i done wrong? Are there any suggestions? Is this to be expected until the screen stretches out a bit from impacts?
TIA!
