I was thinking a gym-pad like product would work great but i don't know where to buy such a thing in long thin strips.

it would have to be 10ft tall by 1ft wide.

I got some felt padding/trim from Par2pro. It attaches with velcro which has an adhesive back.

Do a search under "Enclosures" with the keyword "runner". Get plenty of post like this example below

What materials are people using to cover up the sides of the impact screen (the tarp clips and ball bungees)? I'm thinking that I'll need some velcro strips, but is there a beneficial material used for the fabric or covering? Are people using just 6" wide strips that cover the side and attach to their enclosure? TIA

I used Menards Foss Ecofi black indoor outdoor carpet and it attaches directly to velcro. It comes 6'W by whatever length you need. I then cut it to the width I needed for the sides and top. You could put some velcro strips on the wood and it would attach easily and cover the gaps nicely and very cost effective. It's just for visual appearance only though, it's not really padding.

I'd be concerned that carpet runners wouldn't deaden a direct hit enough to keep the ball from bouncing around and causing some damage if that's all you use to cover the wood. Go here: https://www.foambymail.com/CR/solid-...ular-foam.html Buy a full sheet 4" thick. Cut strips to mount on the wood supports, sides & top, cover the gaps where the bungees are also, you're going to get some crazy ricochets if you leave those gaps open and just cover the wood. Cover the gap on the floor with something also or you'll get your feet hammered b y a rebound if you hit a burner.

Are you guys also placing a velcro strip on your screen to hold the carpet on that side?

Mine does not have velcro on the screen, it just sits flush against it.

I have an EMT frame with less gap from corner pole to screen. I used GUTTERSTUFF EZ 4 ft. Foam Filter Plastic Gutter Guard for 5 in. K-Style (8-Pack)-GSEz-K5-SB - The Home Depot on the sides and covered it with the same fabric I used for black out screen. This creates an angle where if the ball hits it, it will both slow it down as well as change the direction so the ball doesn't come directly back. I put a few pictures in this thread... Could you post some more photos showing the foam in the corners and how it matches up with the screen (sorry for the reply a year later )
