Thanks Craig! Much appreciate all your help with the build. Your design works great, I'm sure other folks who want to turn their garage into a sim room will use your original idea many times over. The caster are nice, I also installed some handles on the stance matt and the putting platforms. My stance setup is about 70lbs, I must be using a heaver mat than you on top of the platform.

Yeah mine might be closer to 50 pounds, not as big as yours dimensionally. I am also going to add some handles.

BTW don't get the swivel casters, get the non swivel ones. With the swivel caster it's harder to maneuver/balance since you don't have 4 wheels. Fixed is a little tougher negotiating a corner but at least the mat doesn't slip out from underneath you when you stand it up. Almost had a heart attack the first time I picked it up with swivel casters on it.

Switched over to the non-swivel and all is good now.

Yeah, I am sure those casters would not work. BTW most of design credit should go to RDH, I pretty much used his design and tweaked it a bit to fit my configuration requirements

Here are some pics of my sim to date. Still need to tidy up and get my putting add on a little more tied in for now. I am thinking that the Trustrike mat that while good may not be as flexible as I was hoping for my set-up.

wow i love these hitting bays. many of these sensor pads have the turf glued on. how do you replace them when they are worn? i was looking at the protee one, doesn't show anywhere you can replace the turf. i'm trying to see which wall i can knock down to get enough room. i think ceiling height is tough to find

The ProTee grass panels can be replaced easily. They are made by Fiberbuilt.

I have had the Protee for several years now. Thousands and thousands of hits and no wear. Its built very well.

The TruTrak putting Matt that I rec'd has very good quality turf as well and I don't see myself ever replacing it given that I will only use it for puts. Trustrike mat is also very good quality, but I will change it out well before its time because I think something else like the Country Club Elite (or similar) might fit what I need better. As for the hitting bay, I built it myself and in the end was very easy to do. I have my wife making some black out curtains for me and then some cable management and then for the most part have it all done. I must say that I am very happy that I did all of this myself!

I had the opportunity to move my sim into a new space on the long weekend and am pretty happy so far. I have attached a couple of pictures of where things are at now with a few still to dos. Some of the remaining things that I want to finish are 1. Blackout drapes for Windows 2. Black cloth to finish off the enclosure walls and hide bungy cords, still waiting for them to be finished by my wife. 3. More turf from Cory 4. Tie in the TruPutt better, may need a new hitting mat so everything ties in nicely (still thinking as the Trustrike was not cheap). 5. Install lighting for the TruPutt. 6. Platform for TM, right now using tiles, but once I figure out my mat situation I hope to have a better solution for this. 7. White cloth on sides of screen to hide bungy cords and give me a little more projected image.
