That is pretty slick. Love the fold-up functionality. I've got a medium green putting surface and it works. But mine looks a bit darker than yours if I simply look at the contrast between your putting area and stance mat. There is a chance that it will work if it isn't shiny or reflective (some of the plastics in carpet seem to be much more reflective than others). But definitely a risk as Z suggests.

Thanks Mike! Its nice because i have it setup before the computer boots up. Less than 5 min to setup n put away. Only way I would use it. The pulley system makes it pretty easy to lift as the deck weighs almost 300lbs. But having real holes to putt to makes it cool. Even though my max putt is 10'. Optishot is nice in that mannor, but i really want to get a protee so i can compete online in tournaments and have a much more realistic system as well. May need to remove putting green or maybe paint the path through the sensor flat black.

Painting might work with the right kind of flat paint designed to stick on plastic. Maybe even a dark green flat paint. I painted a large length of white PVC with dark hunter-green flat paint I got form Home Depot. It seems to have stuck on pretty well. Of course, I'm not walking on it. But as an initial attempt, definitely worth trying that before replacing it. If it doesn't work it cost you 10 bucks and an hour of time.

Paint don't work.... I tried it and the paint wears off. I used 3 different kinds of paint and it all wears off. I got an area rug at walmart. black 5x7 and it works perfect for the putting area. I also have a darker outdoor putting green turf which had a huge reflection. Z steered me in the direction of the area rug. It only cost me 12 or 15 bucks. I also recommend getting the fairway extension or the carpet in front of the sensor wont last long. The short irons really tear it up.
If you are going to re carpet the area I would try going to the carpet store and getting samples and lay them down under the Hcam and see which ones reflect and which ones don't then choose a black color and your set.

I was looking at getting the pro turf from par2pro, see link. Cory says it works well. Has anyone tried this for the Hcam?

That still look kinda bright to me. Somebody said they found a nice very cheap black carpet at Menards that worked really good.

Just finished tonight! I went with a PR-20 setup from Westcoast Netting. I used aircraft cable for the pr-20 frame and mounted flex track along the soffits for the side and ceiling netting.

The side and ceiling netting are retractable just like a curtain allowing me to park the car back in the garage after each use! Takes 15 seconds!

Still need to align the projector just a tad so the image isn't fitting perfectly yet. I couldn't resist firing it up and hitting a few balls, hardly no bounce back and really quite!

Preston from Westcoast did a great job in designing this setup for me.

Using an Optishot for now, will upgrade to either protee or mystery launch monitor after it hits the market.

Nice. Good job. Are you using real balls or limited flight balls?

Btw, when adding .jpg files, if you want them to show up big in the post, you have to click on "Insert" after adding each file.

Gavin - that setup looks awesome. Love the room / big wood beams. What a cool room.

I just got the simulator up and going this week. I won the base sensor pack from Protee a couple of years ago in miniputt contest on their website. I dont have the putting sensor or any cameras. Ive been fairly pleased so far. Are the extra sensors worth the $? I'd definitely like to get as accurate stats and data as possible to take to the course. Thinking about adding a proputtsystems.com putting matt in front of the hitting mat for putting practice.
