Best impact screens

I was all set to order the Par2pro HQ impact screen, but it looks like they may not be available for several weeks. What would be the next best option?

From what i've read, it's better to just wait. If you have a net in place already and have a harbor freight close by, you can get a large painters tarp/canvas very cheap. Image is ok for short term use. Don't know of any cheaper short term alternatives, bed sheet maybe? Or you can take a chance on that supertex screen, haven't seen many reviews on that though.

Not sure if I can post his in here. But I bought mine from allsportssystems and I haven't had a problem with it. It guaranteed for one year if you put a hole through it. I've had mine for over two years and pounded a lot of balls into the screen and still looks brand new.

I second wbond's opinion, best to just wait for the best on limited rebound, subdued impact sound, durability, and pretty good picture quality. Had mine for 18 mo., no signs of noticeable wear yet, but I play R-flex.

For those that use the par2pro hq screen and don't sew, where did you go? What kind of added cost and what specs do you tell the place that does the work? Do you see in straps, grommets, slits for straps?

How quiet or loud is it vs other screens or are you not sure?

It's a tad loud with the driver but not to bad with the irons. I really can't tell if it to loud or not. It's usually the girlfriend complaining when I hit ball one after another with the driver.

And I can't really compare it to other screens. I've had this screen for over two years when I first set the simulator room up and like I said still looks brand new.

And on a side note I'm about six feet from the screen and with the ball going 166 mph and still no hole in the mesh after two years I'm really impressed.

I custom ordered from par2pro with grommets pre sewn in. It's spotless and I abuse it pretty well.

It's not a big deal to sew. You need to use special thread and and special needle. You likely know someone, mother, aunt, sister that has a standard machine. I did my own in an hour or 2.

Willymakit. How clear is the picture --their screens look like a tight knit mesh material. I am assuming that the screen uses grommets attached with zip ties--is that correct and does it hang without ripples even after it is hit with balls from the driver, Also, did you purchase one of their enclosures. Thanks in advance.

Tes the screen is mesh and does have grommet with the zip ties. I did purchase the enclosure from them also. All they send you is the screen and the corners to attach to the poles that you buy at your Home Depot When you first set it up you will have ripples in it unless you tie it at the bottom then you would have a flat screen. Picture is great. I have my screen just laying on the ground with the corners attached at the bottom with zip ties. I have hit many balls into the screen and not one hole so far and that's been over two years now

Would anybody with the par2pro HQ screen be able to post some up close pictures of the material , I have a screen but it seems to be abit more meshy than I would like, be nice to compare it to the HQ screen

The hq screen is like a sheet, not a mesh. I went with a mesh first and had to switch. The hq screen is surprisingly more resistant to denting.

Thanks Tas I seem to get quite abit of denting on my mesh screen and its becoming abit annoying , I just looked at some pictures of the HQ screen think my picture quality would improve as well.

Think ill go along that route now and use my current screen as a backing for the new one.

That's exactly what I did- just left my mesh up behind the new screen.

Just ordered the HQ screen today from cory hopefully be here mid March ,
